We had a large room, beautifully appointed, with lots of natural light, and an excellent bathroom with a large tub and a large shower. The 1906 home with a very interesting history is located in a beautiful neighbourhood in the Old West End. Catherine Parr Trail College is a 17 minute walk away.

First Bed and Breakfast that we stayed in in Peterborough. So nice and beautiful. Host went out of his way to make stay enjoyable. Walking distance to downtown. Only a few miles from all of our destinations. Coffee was the best and food delicious. Give it a try when next in town.

The house and surrounding neighbourhood are beautiful and convenient to downtown with parking on site. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent and convivial. I was delighted to be able to invite my daughter, who lives nearby, to join me for breakfast for a very modest cost. The owner, Doug, loves to sit and chat about... More

Great quaint B&B. Very well kept. Quiet and clean. Owners are very nice but not at all bothersome. Give you what you need and make themselves available if need be. Serve lovely breakfast. Price is great. I highly recommend a visit there to anyone.

I have been a guest at Moffat House on numerous occasions for approximately 10 years because of my work. I considered it my home away from home. Angela and Doug are excellent hosts and are very accommodating. I definitely recommend it if you are in Peterborough on business

Wonderful place and warm and friendly host. Doug went out of his way to ensure my stay was comfortable and that everything went well. Comfortable and with all the amenities I could wish for in a B+B. I was particularly pleased with how quiet the room was.

A delightful place to stay, like a home away from home, with warm hospitality & accommodating hosts who made my stays there delightful ones. I'm a returning client. The location is close to my work & downtown, scrumptious breakfasts in a pretty dining room with colourful stained glass windows overlooking the garden & near a lovely trail along a river... More

I unfortunately did not get to see this establishment because one week before our arrival time I was rudely informed that children were banned. I was verbally chastised for not informing the owner sooner that my nephew was a child of four years old. I explained that a ban on children was an abnormal situation and he should have advertised... For 10 years our website has said: "If you wish to bring children please call us." When this lady told me that her party included a young child I told her that we could not accommodate her. I was not rude. We do not take children under 10, unless someone is booking all 4 of our rooms. More

I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts over the years and had great success. The Moffat House was in a nice location and the room was fine but that is where it ended. Upon arrival I stood inside waiting for some time and even calling out while the owner was in the kitchen playing games on his computer.I finally... More

We are sorry that this guest was not satisfied with their experience with us. When people arrive they sometimes do not ring the bell, but simply come in. This means that sometimes we are not aware of them right away. That is what happened with the arrival of this guest. More
