The motel looks old from outside, however it's fully renovated inside, including room doors, furniture and bath room. The breakfast is OK. There is a good Irish pub located right in front of the motel with life music and good menu. A nice park and a river quay is located withing 5 min walk from the motel

Days Inn by Wyndham is a great hotel for bikers if you are crossing the boarder to the USA. Pleasantly surprised it was quite-average cleanness. Comfortable bed. Only 10 min’s. Paddy Flaherty’s is a 2 min walk for dinner or drinks. Close to board walk.

We stopped here on our way through to Michigan with our kids and honestly, it was great for the price. We just needed a place for the one night and didn’t want to spend a lot. The man at the front desk was friendly and promptly delivered extra bedding to our room when requested.
Our room was fine. Linens and towels were clean, bathroom was updated and clean. Considering it’s more of a motel, we were quite comfortable. Breakfast was good too, same offerings as major chain hotels (waffle maker, bacon & eggs, yogurt, breads & pastry).
Would definitely stay again!

Last minute walk in for a room on a Friday night. Online ratings looked good and pricing was reasonable for area.
Unfortunately we ended up being very disappointed with the room & did not stay.
1. Lobby was pretty standard layout for any motel but seemed very dirty. Some cups, cans left on tables and floors very much needed to be swept.
2. Room was dirty and mattress had food crumbs and some obvious signs of insect activity. Bathroom was also dirty & obviously hadn't been cleaned recently.
3. Room had 2 doors. Entrance from hallway and a door that led outside. The lock on outside door was broken & clearly had been for some time. Relied on a separate deadbolt to secure door.
The clerk at front desk was friendly but didn't seem at all surprised when we spoke to him about room and immediately processed a full refund. No real explanation or apology given.
I have stayed at several Days Inn in various locations and I have been happy with the product. Sarnia location was a surprise but definitely needs to be addressed.

I have never stayed at this hotel in Sarnia before but the rates were good when booking so thought I'd give it a try. It is nestled in behind the waterfront park and was very quiet. Booking online was quick easy as was the check in process once arrived. Staff at the desk on both shifts were both lovely. There are no elevators so you do need to climb stairs. The hallways looked nice and clean and renovated, its always the first thing I notice if the carpets are dirty and the hallways need painting, not the case. The room was spacious and very clean and it too looked renovated. Everything was in working order, she sheets were clean and white, the bed and pillows comfortable. We heard no noise during the evening or night, it was so incredibly quiet. The offer a free breakfast from 0600-0900, we wanted to stay for breakfast but it was snowing and we had a 4 hours drive and just wanted to get home, maybe next time because I will book here again. Paddy Flaherty's and Big Family Brewing Company Kitchen is literally a 1 minute walk from the hotel. In nice weather you can walk the harbour front park which is 30 seconds from the door of the hotel. If you can't do stairs I should mention that they have ground floor units that open right onto the parking lot if that is easier, and lots of parking. Thanks for the amazing stay!

I can't believe how bad it is now! I have stayed here a number of times over the last 5 years. I love the location! This time, however, I noticed how dingy, rundown, and downright dirty my room is. First thing I noticed was they used a general cleaner (or a dirty rag) to clean the mirror and the TV. Both are cloudy and hazy looking now. And when the TV is on, you can still see all the smears. The bathroom is pretty gross. There was a poop spot in the toilet bowl to greet me when I opened the lid. Everything in the bathroom looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. I didn't want to tell the front desk, they would just offer another room. This wasn't just one small issue though. The whole place hasn't been properly cleaned. Another room would likely have the same issue. I couldn't leave the hotel and go somewhere else because of my financial situation at the moment. The front desk lady when I checked in (Sam) was amazing. She was so nice and friendly. We were chatting like we had known each other for ages. I feel she is always that person, just a kind soul. Despite how nice she was, we won't be back.

Such a great staff at this hotel. The hotel itself is nice and clean with an excellent location and a tasty breakfast. The staff were very friendly and hospitable and it actually feels like an inn because of that. Night/evening staff at the front desk were very pleasant and welcoming gentlemen that were able to help suggest a delicious restaurant just steps away. The day time front desk manager was top notch, very helpful and personable. Special shout out to Brenda who is a very hard and detailed worker, a definite asset to the business and an absolute pleasure to talk to taking care of breakfast in the morning. The staff feels happy and like a family so this place must be doing something right that other hotels should take note of. Thanks again - Longhaired Moustache Guy

I have stayed at this Inn for over 15 years when it was privately owned. My experience over the years was very welcoming, clean and safe. Since selling to the Days Inn, there is the lack of customer service when you have an issue with your room. I checked in on Friday afternoon and I noticed the lamp on the night stand was missing a light bulb, the room is quite dark when it is cloudy and in the evenings. I brought it to their attention early Saturday morning with this issue and it was never resolved. I have stayed here for 4 days, and there is no housekeeping what so ever, no garbage, recycle removal and no fresh towels my entire 4 day stay. I think this Inn is just okay for a one night stay, but extend stay I would choose another accommodation in Sarnia.

I was given a room on the second floor, I think it was room 205. When I walked in I noticed that the floor had been vacuumed, but not in any of the corners of the room, so there were coin sized pills of dirt piling up. Upon FURTHER inspection, the mirror on the wall was covered in some kind of hardened orange substance. There were literal holes in the walls. I found that there was, what could only be described as food and/or vomit, on the wall. It was dripping down with a chunk resting on the top of a picture frame. I thought to myself, "well, the bathroom looks nice!" Except when I looked closer, there was hair EVERYWHERE.
I went back downstairs and told them that I couldn't stay in the hotel. It was disgusting. I left and went down the road to the Holiday Inn Express which was about 30 dollars more expensive - and worth EVERY penny.

The pillows are fantastic, as is all the bed linens. Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. Location is perfect right along side the St. Clair River and they provide a gazebo with bbq's and picnic tables. This location is the best for travel. We will definitely refer friends and family to stay here. Love it.
