If you're looking at the Northlander, you're looking at a "budget motel". Keep this in mind and you'll be fine. If you need bigger, better... then you should be looking to spend more money. We stayed here the second last weekend in September, with the sole purpose of doing the Agawa Valley Train tour. The room was very clean, recently... More

The Northlander Motel is an old-style motel that is a family business. The receptionist was kind. If you are just looking for a place to stay for the night, then this would be a good choice. Some renovations appear to have been done recently and the room was very clean and tidy. There was a fridge and microwave in my... More

Our room was extremely clean, and staff were super. This location is great for restaurants around and central to a lot in Sault Ste Marie. Price was great too. We stayed with our dog and there was a small pet fee, which was perfect, its hard to find a pet friendly hotel when travelling. My only concern was the beds... More

Clean and quiet stay accross from Swiss chalet and Arbys. Worth the price and friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. Close to magnificent views of the water and many attractions nearby to keep you busy.

Small, clean rooms in an older, single story motel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Close to a busy road, so there was quite a bit of traffic noise heard in our room. Parking lot could use some attention.

Stopped for the night on a long road trip. The room was clean and the beds comfortable, the a/c was quite noisy but didn't take too long to block out. Good value for the money and within walking distance to some nice restaurants. I'd definitely stay there again.
