The good - Sleep Inn is great as they allow large dogs. The motel was in a great location - close to a park, the lake, good restaurants and not too far from the Trans Canada (about 3 km). The bed was comfy, had good pillows and the shower had lots of hot water with good pressure. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful with advice for local restaurants. The bad - the carpets were pretty rough, with bad patch jobs, and runs. They really needed to be replaced and overall, the place seemed a bit worn. That’s not too say it was dirty; it actually seemed to be very clean and we were happy with that.

Dear Mr. Butlin, Thank you for your recent business and for taking the time to share your fair evaluation of our location. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your overall stay and have also taken note of your feedback regarding our carpets. You are correct that our ground floor carpets are ready for replacement. With having a 2-story building without an elevator, majority of our visitors prefer to stay on our ground floor. This has put increased wear and tear on the carpeting in our public spaces on the ground floor. The replacement of the carpet, in addition to adding keycard access at our side entrance points remains 2 of our high priority improvements for our future. You will have to come back again following the improvements so that we can provide a stay that is even better than the last. Sincerely, Kelly Walker General Manager

Room was comfortable and had anything you would need for an overnight stop. The hotel is located near many of the tourist attractions and near the water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bagged breakfast was also fair with a bagel, fruit and juice.

We drove into town late and while raining heavily. The nearby roads were all dug up so GPS was unable to work. The staff kindly talked us in over the phone - just great. There was a walk in shower which is necessary for my wife - most useful. The breakfast was OK, got us going for the next day's drive. Would gladly stay there again.

I chose this hotel when I had to make an emergency trip north. It was my first stay here and it was a great stay! The staff were friendly, and engaging. The room was super clean, the beds were amazing, and I slept like a log. There is a small area for breakfast and the choices are the usuals, cereal, waffles, toast, pastries, eggs, sausage, fruit, yogurt. This hotel seems to be run by a group of women who are very proud of this hotel and they all pitch in to get it spotless. I would definitely recommend staying here.
