The motel is outdated, and could use some sprucing up. The room itself was relatively clean, although there was a bit of an ant problem that we took care of with hairspray. I believe that people should be made aware that there are unhoused people living at the motel, not their fault, everyone needs somewhere to live.Considering the price, which yes, it is cheaper than larger motels, this is not what we expected, nor knew of.It was a huge disappointment.

Room is adequate and clean. It is recently updated with laminate flooring and nice bathroom. New fridge and microwave and nice armoire and decor. Not fancy but suits my needs as a place to sleep between shifts when working out of town. Definitely appreciated early check in which was very friendly and a quiet space to sleep during my stay.

Our King room was a combination of 70's versus modern. The modern bathroom & kitchenette were positive yet the 70's drapes, bedspread, wall panelling,open closet & rug left us feeling like we went back to the future. The bed was comfortable, A/C & TV worked great. Very pleasant staff and again very,very clean. Close to all amenities.Just wish they had special prices for retirees.

We rented two rooms at the Traveller's Motel August 17, 2024 for our family. We have been going to Stratford almost every year for the past 26 years and have never had a worst experience with accommodation. My sister-in-law and I stay in one room and our adult daughters stay in the other. Our room, although old and needing updating, wasn't the worst. Our daughters room (room 24), however, was disgusting. It looked like the door had been broken down, and quickly repaired. All the window were cracked, and therefore, there were flies everywhere. The air conditioner in the window was situated such that the curtains could not be drawn and the air turned on at the same time. The closet door looked like someone smashed it and no one has fixed it. I know this is an economy motel, but, really, if the room was in such disrepair, perhaps not rent it out? Very disappointed.

I was pleasantly surprised at the great room we were given for our
two night stay, The room was very large with two double bed and a sitting area.
It was so clean and comfortable. there were alot of places to eat and shop very close to the motel. Overall we had a great stay and will certainly stay there when we return in september.

I booked a room for one night at this motel..checking in was a nightmare, reception was standoffish and finally after about twenty minutes my booking was found and I had the key with no offer of apology or anything. To anyone thinking of booking a room here ALWAYS check the room before you pay, I didn't, I had heard good reviews from friends that had stayed here so figured everything would be ok...I was wrong. The room was nice enough,decent size and looked like new furniture but the room obviously had not been cleaned, there was some sort of food in the microwave, looked like coffee had dripped on the bathroom floor and the small bar of soap provided looked like it had been used and wrapped back up,the handtowel hanging beside the sink actually said rag on it! I brought this to the attention of the manager and he said there was nothing he could do about it, no discount no refund not a very good way to run a business. I will not return or recommend

Dear guest, Another poor review is very unsettling for us. We sincerely do apologize for your poor stay. We strongly believe that although we do not have the money to completely renovate the motel to a modern stylish motel that we would like, we do have the control and the ability to make sure the rooms are clean and that the service is impeccable. So these are two items we look to provide an incomparable service to. We have changed some of our staff members and are confident that we are back on the right track. The rooms are all updated and the beds very comfortable. Tracy at the front was an amazing hostess for our group of 6. She was very sure to make sure we had everything we needed during our one night stay. We will definatley return.

I called and booked and confirmed and gave my credit card info for the rate I was given to use a room for 4 hours so my 1 1/2 year old had somewhere to rest . Cassi called two days later to cancel my reservation unless I agreed to pay 50 % more than she had asked me for when I booked.

that would be because we do not rent rooms by the hour were not that type of establishment. our house keeper does not live on site an dis not able to repeatedly clean the room. and you renting it for 4 hours would require it to be cleaned again after your exit otherwise leaving it unrentable for the night, the person whom took you reservation must have been someone who was new we did apologize for the confusion how ever.

I was looking for an affordable place for one night in Stratford and decided to give this property a shot. It was decidedly a mixed bag. On the plus side, it's inexpensive and close to theatres. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were reasonably spacious, and the shower had good height and water pressure. The room had a microwave and refrigerator (with free bottled water). Wi-fi is interesting. There are two networks, only one of which was accessible from my room (#17). It did not work until the router was rebooted. After that, it worked well. On the down side, the motel is very run down. The room had rusted fixtures, worn furniture, and threadbare curtains. The A/C smelled of mildew. I might have left a window open, but my room was adjacent to an ad hoc outdoor smoking lounge. The bed was not that comfortable, but it was OK for one night. All things considered, I'll look elsewhere on my next trip to Stratford.

This is my second visit to this motel and what a difference. Two years ago I was here and needed just a little place to stay. The room I had was large enough but really showed it's age. At the time, I didn't care and for the $50 I spent, it was worth it for me for a one night stay.
Fast forward 2yrs and I find myself back in Stratford and back at the Travellers! Wow, what a great little room. The bed looks to be virtually new, paint is up to date and the bathroom is totally up to date. (Only missing a hair dryer, if you need one)
There is a bar fridge with a larger freezer that is nice to have, microwave, and a nice Armour to hang your cloths. All in all, a great little room, lightyears ahead of what it was a few years ago.
Good work on the upgrades and I absolutely love - as you know - the front and back windows for that excellent cross breeze at night.
The only real nit pick item is a slight odor of maybe a dog or cat in the room, possibly from a previous guest. To me, this was the only spoiler, and to that I would maybe ask to keep a few rooms non - pet rooms. But, over all a nice place to stay whether you are here for just a night or a for couple of days.
I am sure I will be back!
