Our stay at the Queens Inn was fantastic! Joyce provided above Nd beyond customer service and was extrmely considerate and accommodating. My husband and I went to Queens Inn to celebrate our 17th year wedding anniversary, and Joyce was incredible! Firstly, she upgraded our room to an suite and ensured our room was spotless and at perfect room temperature. She also assisted us with dinner reservations and called the restaurant for us to make the reservations. Unfortunately, our dinner experience was not that great, so Joyce purchased us a $20.00 gift certificate for the restaurant across the street to make up for the port experience we had at this particular restaurant. Because of Joyce’s superb customer service, we will definitely be back again; in fact, I have never received quality customer service like this ever before. Thanks again, Joyce for making our wedding anniversary a memorable one!

We left it a bit late to book accommodation for this trip and were surprised that we could get somewhere in the heart of the town. The hotel is obviously a bit worse for wear and is overdue a facelift but this presumably adds to the "old-worldly charm". We didn't try the pub, which was only open until 8pm but there were no restaurant or breakfast facilities on offer. There were a few breakfast alternatives nearby but a "good old Scottish breakfast" in-house wouldn't have gone amiss. Location is very central right on the main street and a 5 minute walk to the river and most of the festival locales, but we weren't bothered by the traffic and the free-onsite parking was a plus.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our family owned and operated Inn. We have been at the Inn for almost 30 years, and we are always excited to begin `spring projects` before the start of our festival season each year. With Covid-19, unfortunately most of these projects have been on hold for the past 17 months, and I realize that we have gotten behind with our on-going renovations. With 32 rooms, we have always tried to give a face-lift to 5 - 6 rooms each year, and a total renovation to at least one or two. This past year, we had also planned to re-carpet the halls on each floor. With so few guests staying with us during COVID, plans had to be put on hold. It was most important for us to stay in business, never dreaming that 17 months later, we would still be struggling to keep going. With the possibility of another shut-down, we have been reluctant to extend our hours but do plan to do so as soon as possible. With a favourite local breakfast restaurant directly across the road, and several others very close by, we decided to focus on expanding our lunch and dinner menu. We want guests to enjoy a total Stratford experience during their stay. The health and safety of our guests, as well as that of our Queen`s Inn Family, is always our priority, especially during these difficult times. I do hope you will give us another try. Take care and keep well. Sincerely, Barb Ford, Owner

Spent a lovely weekend at Stratford and stayed at the Queens Inn. The hotel is quaint with an authentic old English feel. Barb and her family are absolutely delightful, incredibly hospitable and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Highly recommend that anyone visiting Stratford stay at the Queens Inn.

Thank you so much for your kind review. It means so much to us when folks choose to stay with us, and we become a part of their Stratford vacation. We are family owned and operated and our guests are an important extension of our Queen`s Inn family. We want you to return, year after year, and to think of the Queen`s Inn as your home away from home. COVID-19 has turned the hospitality business up-side down, and even after almost 30 years at the Queen`s Inn, this year it feels like our family is starting over. We are so grateful for your comments, and look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Barb

Pretty bad feeling after I spoke to the receptionist today. I understand that she does not have control. I have stayed here before and continued giving them business after I left.
I called again to stay here for a week while my home is being staged for sale. I got a fabulous rate but this time no coupons were available to dine at the bar ( which is fabulous, by the way).
I asked why ?
“ You're local, not from out of town )”
Next question hit really badly and I am really insulted.
“ Do you have an address to go to, when you leave here!”
Of course I do. It’s sad that when we locals supported local business’s during lockdown that the gratitude has disappeared. It works both ways.
I’m sure she goofed up but really this is not a 5 star hotel and if transients are their usual guests then please don’t treat all of us like that.
It’s your choice if you stay there. The family that owns this hotel are so beautiful. Some reception staff need to do some sensitivity training.
On principle I won’t stay. Ill book somewhere that will treat me well.

Barb was awesome, treated us like old friends as soon as we arrived. Allowed us to have an early check-in and gave us an upgrade to a suite. Charming historic inn. Comfortable beds. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your warm hospitality.

You can walk to the three downtown Theatres in 5 minutes, and the Festival Theatres in about 15 minutes.
Its great place to stay location wise, as parking is free and if you get to the inn early and your room is ready they will allow you in, even if its not ready you can still park there free. Its downtown and central to all the shops to browse and restaurants. The Queens Inn also has two restaurants. One a pub, and the other more formal dinning. You can hit the pub after seeing the play and they have 60 oz pitcher of beer for $13 and weekends they also have live entertainment, The atmosphere is just like Cheers show, everyone seems to know everyone.
The rooms are great, clean and nice. The free coffee/tea is served in the hallways starting at 6am .We stayed here twice once on April 13th and room rates were $84 and then again on May 4th and they went up to $109. And I think they are going up to $154 in high season.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions while attending the Festival. We were treated like family by the staff/Owners and recognized each visit even though we only came once a year. The rooms are quaint, well kept, bright and cheery. Even the pull out beds are comfy. It is located right in the middle of the theatres allowing you to park your car and forget it! Book early!

We stayed for three plays, so we stayed for three nights and liked the Inn so much we stayed another night, Off season the Queens inn is just perfect, old world charm rooms, and great off season room rates, At 84 a night for a clean room with charm built into the hotel, The formal dinning room is still closed for the season but the pub is still open, as busy as the pub is you can still grab a table without waiting, The food is good and also at reasonable prices. Parking is free so walk easily to all theatre's. Free coffee in the morning in the hallway, and on the third floor there is a microwave and the rooms have a fridge. Free Wi-Fi that works great in room good channel selection on tv, and lots of hot water.

I had a great room 315. Very friendly staff. I enjoyed my staff even though I was abruptly awakened at 6 am by .... Well I don't believe in ghosts which means I don't know how to tell you I woke up hearing someone walk up to my bedside and that something pressed me into my bed, without actually touching me. Creepy and exciting. If you are into that, request 315.
In any case this is a very nice cozy older hotel and I would recommend it.
