Sally's place went above and beyond to make our Stratford stay wonderful. Lovely breakfast options, close to all amenities, clean and plenty of room for all our guests. Being able to walk around- we took the train from Guelph was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks for the lovely accomodations!
Staying in the Virginia Woolfe suite when we visit the festival is part of our tradition. 2 bedrooms each with own bath, large living room and kitchen as well as small deck with table and chairs give lots of options for lounging, snacking and dining. Comfortable and well located in Stratford. Much thought is given to the comfort of guests.
Our multi-generational family has been staying here for a week each summer for about 10 years and always has a great time. Very comfortable, affordable accommodations with a GREAT location and the owners are attentive and easy to work with. We just finished our annual trip and look forward to booking again next summer!
Lovely, comfortable accommodations, close to theatre, restaurants and shops. We've been coming for years because the hospitality is SO special. Barb tries to think of everything to meet your needs and sometimes you even get baked treats made by Sally herself. Once you've tried staying here, you won't want to go anywhere else.
Stayed in the Jane Austen room Air B& B. Very comfy and they also provide you with nice snacks and Jane Austen related reading material. My daughter and I enjoyed our overnight. The price was good as well.
My husband myself and a couple of friends stayed at Sally's Place We were so very well accommodated Clean and well kept residence The breakfast supplies were complete with all that was needed for a very healthy and tasty meal. A great start of our day
A friend and I enjoyed a two-night stay in the Ralph Waldo Emerson second floor apartment. Our hostess, Barb, was attentive and friendly from my first email to her through our brief stay. The apartment is large - with two separate king size bedrooms (one up another level) 2 full baths, a well stocked kitchen (including a nice variety of breakfast options) with a table & chairs, two sitting rooms and an outdoor porch! More than we needed (I believe it could accommodate up to 6 guests) but we were lucky to secure the reservation as this is a busy time for the Stratford Festival! Located on a main street, within walking distance to the Avon Theater as well as the Festival Theater was a bonus - the homes in the area are well kept and the gardens are simply charming. Lots of restaurants nearby - and lovely parks along the Avon River - where you can see mute swans along with a variety of other birds. I highly recommend Sally's Place and hope to return one day. …
Barb is an excellent hostess and looked after us very well. The apartment was spotless, and there were some nice touches such as bacon and eggs in the fridge, with breakfast cereals, etc. There are two good sized bedrooms, a spacious sitting/dining area, and two balconies, one to the front and one to the rear where my son enjoyed a leisurely read. It is about a 10 minute walk to the theatres. I would definitely recommend.
We called last minute to book with Sally's Place and got Barb on the phone. She had all the answers to all of my questions and then some. We were arriving late which was also not a problem. We stay in the Ralph Waldo Emerson suite. This is our home away from home. Beautifully kept and exquisite. My family feels like royalty. Thank you Barb for providing an absolute piece of heaven. You must be an angel.
Four of us -- my sister and our husbands -- stayed at Sally's Place in the Virginia Wolff Suite while we were in town to see plays at the Stratford Festival. We loved the suite! It was within walking distance to all the theaters and to great restaurants. The suite had everything we needed and was very comfortable! We will return!
