We enjoyed the waffles with maple syrup, home made blueberry and raspberry syrups. I don’t usually eat quiche, but the mini quiche were very good. The room was spacious, comfortable and included a mini fridge.
My husband and I travelled up to Stratford on June 1st with our daughters, one of the boyfriends, and a family friend. We split up into two rooms, boys and girls, and only stayed one night. We had a comfortable night in the girls' room - sharing two double or queens with no difficulty. I guess the boys had smaller beds, but they did fine. I didn't see the boys' room but ours was lovely, and the bathroom was very nice, as well. Our hosts were chatty and engaging, and made us a delicious breakfast. We very much admired the back yard and side yard, but it was rainy and we didn't go outside into it. Nor did we use the hot tub, only being there one evening and going to one of the plays that night. But it was there and apparently available. The room was well-appointed, with plugs, and books available, plenty of space for our clothing, a mini-fridge to use, and lovely bedding. I was very comfortable. The meal was very nice indeed at breakfast, and we were asked with each food item if we'd like more to eat. We felt very welcome and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower, good conversation. Easy to find with convenient parking. I didn't notice at all about the tv - never thought to look and have no memory whether one was in the room or not!…
We came to Stratford to see a couple of plays on successive days. We stayed overnight at this B&B. It was very nice. The gardens are remarkable. We didn't really have time to properly enjoy them, but should have booked an extra day. The breakfast was very good, and the hosts very welcoming. The only possible negative here is that it is not that central...a good 30 minute walk from downtown. That said, the walk is exceedingly pleasant, along the river. Really good spot.
I attended Stratford with friends and we stayed in the front room with two queen beds. The hosts do a great job taking care of their guests. The room was very comfortable and spacious for three people and has a private bath. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. The bonus was a hot tub Jacuzzi (indoors!) And beautiful gardens with sitting areas. If you like to walk, it's an easy walk to Festival Theater but might be a bit far to downtown for the other theaters, depending on weather and walking ability. We all were very impressed with this bed and breakfast and our hosts.
Property was picked for the large room, we were tired of getting little rooms in "quaint" homes. We were not disappointed. As hosts, you could not ask for anyone better than Barb and Hal. Their home is a wonder inside and out. As we were there in the fall, the gardens surrounding the home were not at their peak, though there was a calming effect nonetheless. The room we had, the Ammolite, had everything that you would need, fridge, tv, walk in shower, robes, toiletries if needed, just everything. Truly puts you at ease. The breakfasts are set on a 5 day rotation, and we got in at the waffles the first day and omletes on our second. The breakfast started with fresh fruit (some right from their own garden, raspberries) with optional yoghurt, granola dried fruit. Many choices of fruit juices, and of course tea and coffee. Blueberry waffles with bacon, very good with the choice of three syrups. The next day started the same way with an omlete and the famous maple bacon. Yum. We had lively conversations with Barb and Hal and with other guests which is why we enjoy using B&B's. when we travel. This is a hidden gem for Stratford. Will visit again. Highly recommended.…
