Karen and Jack are very gracious hosts and have a wealth of knowledge about Stratford and the plays. Have been staying here for over years. It never disappoints. Rooms are lovely and tastefully decorated. The place is very clean. Beds and linens are perfect! We enjoy the short walk downtown for dinner and the two playhouses- Tom Patterson and Studio. It is a short drive to the Festival Playhouse.. The bonus to all is THE yummy breakfasts!! Pat and Mack
I have been going to Karen and Jack's B&B on Bay for 15 plus years. They are terrific hosts who know all about the Festival, the town, the history of the town and people. The breakfasts' are works of art and I always get a chair massage and reflexology from Karen. The location is perfect...we walk everywhere easily. The home is charming and comfortable When I get to A B&B on Bay it is like coming home.
Karen and Jack are the perfect hosts and made our trip very special. Their sweet little cottage is centrally located and a very comfortable place to stay. We started each day with a delicious breakfast and fun conversations with our hosts who are full of inside information about Stratford, the plays, the actors, the best restaurants, and more. You won’t be disappointed!
My husband and I spent two nights at Acrylic Dreams (our first visit) and were totally impressed with the welcoming atmosphere of this charming and eclectic home, full of interesting collections and Jack's art. Our room was beautiful, spotless and had all the amenities we needed, including a small wine fridge. Our hosts, Karen and Jack, were warm and friendly and full of helpful and interesting information about Stratford. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented. The B&B is within a short drive of downtown and all the theatres . . . so handy. We would highly recommend Acrylic Dreams to anyone visiting Stratford and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
We have been coming to Acrylic Dreams for 14 years and we have never been disappointed. Jack makes the best breakfasts. He and Karen have great advice for dinner in Stratford and which plays they have enjoyed the most for that season. Karen does the best reflexology and I have never missed a year enjoying that experience. It feels like going home when my friend and I arrive as they are both so welcoming . Will be back next year for sure.
My theatre-going friend and I stay at Acrylic Dreams every time we come to Stratford. It's an adorable B&B that's within walking distance to all theatres, shops and restaurants. Quiet, clean and comfortable, the hosts Jack and Karen have decorated the house in an eclectic style full of artwork and unique accessories that makes our stay feel like the "dream" part of "Acrylic Dreams." The breakfasts are always delish and healthy. Best of all we get recommendations not only to great restaurants but direction on which plays to see. And they're never wrong! Karen provides reflexology that we take advantage of and I highly recommend to make your stay a pleasure for body and soul.
My husband and I recently spent five nights with one of our sons at this wonderful B&B in Stratford, Ontario where we had come see some of the incredible plays at the Festival. We would strongly recommend Acrylic Dreams to any couple or small family looking to spend time in and around Stratford. Jack and Karen, owners of the B&B and our hosts, were so friendly and helpful! Breakfast every morning—made by Jack and served with a smile by Karen—was yummy and always something new and interesting. Generous portions and lots of fresh fruit! There are two eating areas and we got to enjoy our breakfasts in a cozy room with a bookshelf full of cookbooks; my husband was in heaven! Jack and Karen are very familiar with the many dining options in Stratford and were able to steer us towards some great suppers too. Our room, which in a hotel would probably be called "a suite", on the top floor was very comfortable and had its own bathroom. There was also a small fridge, drip coffee maker and sink. There was a rattan couch and TV in the area with the single bed for our son. He spent many relaxed hours sitting on the couch and playing his guitar. I should mention also the chair massage and reflexology treatments each of us scheduled with Karen. This combo, very reasonably prices, was described by her as a "pampering package" and rightly so; we all felt great after!…
This is probably our eighth at least stay at this B and B and we only hope each year that they have space for us. There are only superlatives to describe our experience with the wonderful hosts Jack and Karen. Our room with private bath is at the same time both spacious and cosy and the bed is a perfect firmness. Breakfasts are not just yummy but presented beautifully with the possibility of eating in the private dining area which seats 4 or in the larger dining/living room. There is a delightful garden area and front porch to relax in and amenities too many to mention. The B and B is an easy (15-20 minute) walk to all the theatres. Jack and Karen are long time residents of Stratford who themselves are avid theatre goers as well as having all the info you might need about the plays, actors, productions both past and present. Most importantly they are warm, welcoming hosts who care about providing an exceptional away from home experience.…
My partner and I have been going to Stratford for theatre for many years. We've stayed with Jack and Karen at their B&B for many of those years. Once we found them, we stayed and have taken friends and recommended them to friends! The accommodation is very comfortable, relaxed and so welcoming. Breakfasts are always yummy a la Jack's magic in the kitchen. Karen's reflexology and massage treatments are wonderful.. They are theatre people and full of knowledge about plays and actors, directors, etc . Relaxing in the garden is also a lovely part of the weekend. I couldn't recommend this B&B too highly. It feels like returning home this year after 2 years of the pandemic. Rozanne
