This is more than a B & B. A beautiful historic home with generous hosts who provide a unique and authentic experience. Breakfasts were top notch and catered individually four our gluten & diary free needs. A comfy bed, excellent standards of hygiene, access to Wi-Fi and a residents lounge with kitchenette. Rhonda & Tony are multi-talented, kind of spirit and great fun. Our next trip to Stratford will involve giving them a call before we visit any other booking platform.
Ronda and Tony have done a spectacular job with this place. Built at a time when craftmenship was important, this home shows it. The original wall and ceiling mural inside the entrance is outstanding. And just like their house, our hosts are carrying on the tradition by way of spectacular service. Whether lounging by the pool or sitting on the porch, attention to detail is evident. This is a grand home that we would not hesitate to stay at again.
We spent one night at Avonview Manor and I'm sure we will return soon! The room was beautifully decorated and home itself is gorgeous with a very interesting history. The location is ideal, close to downtown and lovely for quiet walks. Breakfast was wonderful!!
Avonview manor is a beautiful, charming historical home. It's close enough to downtown Stratford to walk, but in a quiet area away from the noise & bustle. Our hosts, Rhonda and Tony, were very warm and welcoming and the breakfast that Rhonda prepared for us was delicious. Our room was very comfortable, and we were very pleased that it had proper blackout curtains! We would definitely come back for another stay!
We spent two nights at the Avonview Manor while in Stratford for the Festival. This lovingly restored mansion is located on a quiet street not far from the Avon River. The manor's original details, such as the painted mural in the front hallway and the stained glass in the bedroom, reflect the charm and beauty of this home. There is a wonderful sunroom in the back of the house with a big seating area to curl up and relax. Our room was the Provence which is in the front of the house. The bed was very comfortable and the decor reflected the owners' time spent in Europe. Our hostess Rhonda was very welcoming and shared the history of the house with us. She is also an amazing cook, preparing delicious breakfasts (crepes one morning, souffles the next) each day. Her warmth and friendliness made our stay a memorable one. The manor is a short walk along the Avon River to the main part of downtown Stratford. We walked to the Avon Theatre the first day but took our car to the Festival Theatre on the second day since our performance was at night. We highly recommend this lovely B and B.…
