Finally back to Stratford after Covid to be able to enjoy plays. We’ve eaten at Parlours before and decided to stay for 2 nights. This hotel is very well located and easy to walk to shops and restaurants. The restaurant here offers patio dinning and a beautiful sitting area inside with charm and ambiance.

Staff here were excellent and friendly from Ivy the text and front desk concierge, the men who checked us in and the cleaning staff who brought us the hair dryer that was missing when we checked in.

The only issue we had was on the first night when the town decided to paint crosswalks outside our window from midnight to after 4 am. Reminder to bring earplugs next time . This was not the hotel’s fault and when I mentioned it to Ivy by text, she apologized profusely and gave us a full breakfast pass for the 2 of us as compensation. We were delighted as we were going to eat there in the morning. The waiter was great and the food great though I found the potatoes too spicy with Cajun but that’s a personal preference. The waiter said if I returned , I could get tomatoes or a fruit bowl instead. Breakfast was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.

The room is very clean with two free bottles of water and fridge but no microwave . Wifi is strong and the bathroom is very modern with a strong flow shower with different settings. The mist setting was different that other hotels and I loved it. The soaps and shampoo were very good. My wife enjoyed the Nespresso machine 4 choices for coffee and refilled the second day. The bed was very good with 4 pillows and the room offers many plug ins which is good with all the gadgets we need to plug in these days.

Parking is free on the lot and with the hotel being so close to everything, it was appreciated.

We will return as we are Stratford fans! 👍

We spent one night at the Parlour Inn to attend a concert at a nearby theater. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the room we had booked was a suite with two separate bedrooms, two separate bathrooms and living area. It was clean, well appointed and very comfortable. We have already booked a second visit. Staff are friendly, helpful and cheerful. Would highly recommend the Parlour Inn when visiting Stratford.

During this Covid time, we had not eaten out for several months. With the opening of patios, we wanted a spot that was not in the blazing sun as well as protected if it rained. Not an easy find!! BUT we did find the perfect spot on the patio at The Parlour. The menu is varied with a selection for every palette and we all enjoyed a delicious meal served by an efficient waitress . We had not patronized The Parlour for several years but will definitely return hopefully again this summer.

This is our second stay at this hotel, we came for a winter weekend. The staff member at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We had a lovely corner suite which was small but cozy with a double sided fireplace the faces into the bedroom on one side and the sitting area on the other. The bathroom was ok but it looked a bit worn and the paint on the doors and frames looked old and tired. The pedestal sink had very little room for my toilet kit and makeup which was disappointing for an expensive room.

The tub was very slippery and although they had a rubber rub mat available the thought of something like that when I couldn’t tell how clean it was did not appeal to me.

The suite looked very nice but the bed was a bit lumpy and I did not find it comfortable.

I was very surprised that the hotel did not provide the glasses and coffee mugs sealed in plastic. I had no way of knowing if they had been properly washed so we did not use them. This means we could not use the free Nespresso coffee provided in the room, so that was disappointing.

Overall we liked it well enough to go back again in the future but as noted above there are some areas where they could improve.

I made this reservation for 12 in October, clearly stating we were big beef eaters. We arrived for our 8pm seating to be informed that they were out of Prime Rib, the only beef selection on the limited New Years Eve menu. Threatening to order pizza and go to our room, the chef offered a 10 oz New Yorker, good save but only after we had to really push. Thankfully the steak was fantastic, but there is no excuse for this error. They were understaffed for the evening and poor to service us for drinks.

Booked a party of 26 weeks in advance. They had one server (who did her best) to take all drink orders, food orders etc. Food was mediocre at best. I sent my meal back - the mushroom gnocchi (incidentally the only vegetarian option) was so salty it was not palatable. Service was slow (because management only allowed one server for the entire party). Drinks took 35 minutes, when only half the party ordered drinks. We are still here waiting for our bills 40 minutes after everyone has finished their meals. The rest of the restaurant is empty. Ridiculous!!!! Do not recommend for any occasion. I will pay over $100 for 3 mediocre meals and not any kind of special experience!! Just do not waste your time here.

While attending three events at the Stratford Festival we enjoyed a package, room and dinner, at this historic inn. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. The restaurant dinner included was one of the best we've had. Restaurant and hotel staff are friendly and efficient. We intend to return.

I alway consult Trip Advisor and have rarely been disappointed. TA gave The Parlour their award for excellence and it is well deserved. The Parlour is well priced, in a great downtown location, and the rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. It has been YEARS since I stayed at a hotel where daily room service includes clean towels. In March, we stayed at Tru (a lower cost Hilton) and read when we checked in, that they only clean the rooms every third day! So, it felt very nice to see the beds nicely made up and bathroom cleaned with fresh towels and bars of soap each day of our stay. The only negative is that they should update the carpeting throughout the lobby and hallways. I’m thinking that’s coming up since they are having the halls painted this summer. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is really lovely and convenient to everything you would want to do in Stratford. Check in was warm and friendly and follow up texts from the concierge to check in as to how my stay was going were appreciated. The room was spacious and included soap, shampoo, etc as a well as a coffeemaker, bottled water, and fridge. A staff member checked in personally about turn down in the evening (with a rose). The hotel was very quiet and allowed for a good sleep. There is complimentary parking attached to the hotel (a definite plus) as well as a great restaurant attached and nearby spa (across the parking lot). The Avon and Studio theatres are a short 5 minute walk as is a wide variety of restaurants and Market Square. The hotel also provides a complimentary shuttle service to the theatres (those seeing a show at the Festival or Tom Patterson theatre might want to take advantage of this). Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and definitely plan to return.

My friend and I had booked a two-night stay at the Parlour Inn from a Saturday through to a Monday. We booked a few weeks ago and were only just called to be told the Parlour Inn is closed on Sundays and Mondays for the foreseeable future? No explanation was given but to say that the online booking system isn't working. If that were the case, why only inform us now and not immediately after we booked? The problem has clearly been going on for awhile. My friend and I had to scramble to find a new place to stay.
I gave two stars because the person on the phone was polite and offered to find another place for us to stay. We decided to cancel the Saturday as well and booked another place on our own. If this were peak season pre-COVID, we would have had to cancel our trip. I have never heard of a hotel deciding not to be open two days a week, and certainly not for notifying customers within a few days of booking (instead of a couple of weeks). Really disappointed, and just plain confused.
