This charming roadside motel is minutes away from Stratford’s theatre district and was a gem of a find. Spotless. Friendly. Very comfortable. Lovely gardens. Easy check-in and check-out. Owners on site and extremely helpful. We look forward to returning for next summer’s theatre season…hopefully when the pool is open!

An old-fashioned (i.e., 1960s) motel so the decor is kinda dated, but the room was immaculately clean. Two queen beds per room, One full bath as well as a separate vanity with sink. Mini fridge, flat screen TV, free wifi. There's a small, wall-mounted a/c unit. We didn't need it, but wonder whether it would be adequate in really warm weather—though no one else here has complained about it, so it must be fine. Nicely landscaped grounds and a large outdoor pool. Price was reasonable/competitive, and if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, unpretentious place to stay, the Swan should suit you just fine.

The motel suited us well. My sister and I found it to be very clean and the layout of the room was practical. We liked the idea of double basins and the beds were very comfortable. Very clean bathroom and lots of hot water with good water pressure. It was centrally located which made it easy to reach the theaters and restaurants. Our only suggestion would be to clear some of the trees in order to better see the sign. All in all, we plan on coming back next year for our yearly trip and will stay at The Swan Motel.

We usually stay in high-end hotels and were a little concerned about staying in at motel. What a total surprise! The Swan is beautifully maintained- the grounds are lovely, well-manicured, extensive and beautiful. The motel is set off the highway with a farmer's field across the street yet very close to downtown Stratford. There is outdoor furniture for eating and lounging outside and it is impeccably clean and comfortable. The pool is also immaculately clean and pleasant- perhaps a tad cool. The room was extremely well-maintained and very clean. The rug had no sign of any use or abuse and did not even have one mark on it. Beds were comfy and sheets were good. Towels were substantial and new and not at all worn. The room was absolutely perfectly clean and obviously well-maintained by caring and loving owners. There is a fridge and coffee maker and an extra sink in the bedroom. We couldn't believe how perfect the caulking was in the bathroom-obviously owners who take great pride in their establishment. This place was an unexpected gem and there was absolutely nothing negative to say about it. Quiet, clean, comfortable, safe location, easy access to Stratford and very pleasant. The owner had a bit of a gruffness on the phone but was absolutely delightful when we met her. Can't say enough good things about this place. Highly recommended for a night or a week.…

My husband and I loved this motel. It was extremely clean! I was comfortable exercising on the floor. The garden and pool are beautiful! We enjoyed sharing picnic meals outside at the tables in the garden. Rooms have small refrigerators and coffee pots. The location is very quiet and conducive to sleeping. The owners are lovely. I highly recommend this motel.

I would run away to The Swan for a staycation. Or a retro romantic weekend. Or just to enjoy their fantastic pool and garden. The rooms are retro seventies decor, but with very comfortable beds, flat screen tv, a little fridge, and super internet. Everything is clean and in good repair. The They are following Covid protocols. The price is fair. And the owners are lovely. Highly recommended.

Heading to visit family and arriving early...came from Jersey City and happy to find something close. Easy check in...nice room...bit small but clean, good bed and nice shower! Like the fact that the staff was so helpful! Renovations are in progress but did not impact our stay at all! .

A bunch of us (4 couples) decided to avoid the long drive home after seeing a play in Stratford and made reservations at the Swan Motel and couldn't have been happier. Rooms are comfortable with everything you need and so clean! Will definitely be our "go to" when we plan our next visit.

This is your basic old style motel. Family run or appears to be. It is just a little outside of Stratford but well located to get to the Theater venues but definitely too far to walk. Rooms are basic queen two beds with a small fridge. It was very busy guests going to the theater but we were not at all bothered by noise. If you don't mean the 5 minute drive it is a good opinion when visiting in Stratford. They offer muffins and coffee at breakfast but we preferred to getting a full breakfast close by. As we visited in late September we can't comment on the pool but the grounds were very well maintained and the flowers beautiful.

Thanks to friends of ours who have stayed at The Swan Motel in the past, we were guided to this motel for our two-day stay in Stratford. The place is first-rate. The room we had, with two comfortable queen beds, was large and airy and so very clean. The motel is basic but still provides a coffee maker and all the amenities one needs on the road. In addition, there is coffee and excellent muffins available from 8:00. The owners are pleasant and, contrary to most places, only take payment as you leave. The only drawback for a first-time visitor is finding it as it is not conspicuous from the road even though there are clear signs. I suggest checking it out on Google (as we did) and it is quite easy from that point. Overall a wonderful experience worth repeating
