They have contractors staying there and in the mornings at 6/7 am they are outside by the rooms drinking beer, BBQing and loud. This was on a Saturday morning. Old and outdated but you get what you pay for. Water pressure sucks. And they should get new mattresses

Just made it To Fireside Inn at end Feb.2017,Just before snow storm/rain/snow hit. We arrived from Elliot Lake,my armed forces buddy and me.We got rm 7.It was clean and nice, but comfortable, despite the traffic.Lorne st was main traffic hub,for travellers heading westerly, and drivers residents heading west to their residences outlining areas like coppercliff, lively, whitefish, naughton, etc. No Big deal. I have very good feeling about this little inn. I found room was very clean and bed were comfortable too. Parking was just right outside the room, which I preferred always. Parking was a bit tight on that day, was very busy too. Hotel is located on busy street but didn't bother me and come back here.

Motel's location is not on a main street, this is why the price of stay is attractive. There is a Flat TV, Fridge and microwave oven in the room. Wi-Fi works well. We hadn't sleep well because a slippery bed cover fell on the floor several times, so you are coverd only by a thin bedshit that is not OK...

Although we planned to stay only 1 night while we vacationed in the area it turned into 3 because of the cleanliness, it was affordable, plus the awesome friendly service. We had everything we needed ie. mini fridge, WIFI, comfy bed. It's not a brand new place but I would grade it overall as one of the better places to...

THE GOOD: Firm bed, micro wave, mini fridge, cable TV and WIFI. The lady owner or maybe manager tried her best to keep us happy. THE BAD: Peeling paint, shower/tub chipped, a/c very noisy, located too close to the street. This motel just has to be rehabbed. Not on the greatest neighborhood either. We couldn't leave fast enough.

This place is now our favourite and best value. Just recently some one has written about curry, we love it and that is not valid point, just my...

Could not stay here. Place smelled like curry and the rooms were very well worn. There was a musty smell and what felt like a mattress that would not be conducive to a good night's sleep. Cancelled reservation and went elsewhere. I just could not stay there.

Room rate plus taxes totalled less than 85$, so don't expect new carpets and mints on your pillow. If you are looking for a safe, affordable room that is clean and well maintained, then this place is just fine. Checkin/checkout was friendly and easy, and there's a Tim's a block away for your morning coffee and bagel.

The place is definitely an eyesore. It is on the outskirts of town, and clearly hasn't been updated in a very long time. Red flowers and red painted doors were added to try and cheer up the place. Otherwise, it wasn't too bad. It had enough space, the wifi worked pretty well and we had no issues with staff who...
