With the prospect of a long-term stay in the area to undergo cancer treatment, I looked at lots of options. This property was recommended and turned out to be an excellent choice. Very clean rooms and common areas, certainly not fancy but comfortable. Covid had temporarily shut down the restaurant next door but plenty of choices within walking distance (and a Starbucks across the street), and Sudbury has many more options within a 10-minute drive. The Northeastern Cancer Centre is a 30-minute walk (two km) so all in all, a great choice.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights, while being participants at an Art Show at the Holiday Inn. The room was very clean and quiet with a few stores and restaurants in the immediate neighbourhood. The kitchen is a real plus. Easy to make yourself breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. The staff was super friendly! We will stay here again in March.
Room was ready when we arrived. Very impressed with the cleanliness. Having brain tumor removed tomorrow......all good.Lovely place to stay. Will be back....hopefully. Morning coffee appreciated.Toast as well.
went with a friend ,very nice staff, a few stores just around the hotel, clean, big kitchen if you need to cook , great visit, there tv in rooms rooms all dedicated people in ontario, mayors ect, , like to stay if you need to ,,
My wife stayed here during her cancer treatment and I couldn't always be with her but I was at ease knowing that the staff at House of Kin are very watchful over their guests. Even the guests look out for one another. The room was very clean, every day. If you need anything, simply ask the front desk. They are very helpful. Nothing fancy about the accommodations but if you are staying there, its usually for medical reasons and there is nothing you will need for. Thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work.
