We travelled to the Sudbury area in November to visit my daughter who recently relocated to Sudbury. We Stayed at the Hacienda Bed and Breakfast for two nights and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The Hacienda is a true hidden gem about 20 minutes outside of Sudbury. It is nestled on a beautiful 5 acre lot with lots of open space, a cute little pond, large pool and patio and a nice fire pit area.
The Hacienda itself is a beautiful Mexican inspired "home/oasis" that is truly unique and beautiful. My two daughters and I stayed in the double room (two double beds). The beds were comfortable and there was just enough room for us. The bathroom, located in the hallway just outside the room, was a nice size with a large walk -in shower and lots of counter space.
As a guest, you have the run of the whole main floor so there are lots of spaces to spread out and relax--a library/sitting area, a family room with tv and fireplace, the dining room (where the most delicious breakfast is served), a sauna and a great atrium that makes you feel like you are sitting in a courtyard in Mexico. The fountain makes it so relaxing and tranquil.
The whole place is beautifully decorated, immaculately cared for and incredibly comfortable. Helene is an awesome host. She welcomes you with open arms and she ensures that you have a five star experience!
We definitely plan to make the Hacienda a regular stop when we return to visit our daughter. We look forward to curling on the pond in the winter and sunbathing by the pool in the summer!
Thank you Helene for a fantastic stay!

My wife and I just spent two wonderful days at the Hacienda B&B in Hanmer, near Sudbury. Who would believe that somebody would build a Mexican hacienda in Northern Ontario? Well, someone did and our host Helen did an outstanding job of spoiling us. The property and the home are beautiful. Guests have the run of the total top floor including the dining room, TV/fireplace room, library room and the lounging room complete with fountain and Mayan statue wall. It is really unbelievable. The outdoor pool area looked great but was closed for the season but not to worry as the indoor sauna was available to us and worked really well. We had the king suite bedroom which was spacious and luxurious. The cedar-lined walk in closet is big enough to be an extra bedroom itself! It smelled sooo good. Helen's breakfasts were as good as any we have experienced in many B&B stays and an added bonus is that you can select from a choice of 4 or 5 breakfast options. Hint - make sure to try the Belgian waffles. Another great feature of the Hacienda is that you can have your evening meal there. We had delicious pasta meals the first night and were so impressed that we ate in on the second night as well. It was really nice to be able to take your own beverage to the table with you Then the sauna later in the evening topped off each day. I have no hesitation recommending a visit to the Hacienda B&B to experience this unique property and Helen's superb hosting and cooking.

Let Helene and Marc be your perfect hosts at their gorgeous bed and breakfast! This was my second visit. We come from Hamilton to go snowmobiling with the trails right at their doorstep. Lots of room to park sleds, out of site from the roadway. Helene's breakfasts are delicious with fresh fruit and huge entrées. Their spread of teas and Kuerige coffees and treats are on offer 24 hours a day. The beds and bedding are perfect, and with 4 separate living areas for guests to choose from, this only describes the inside of this home! I can only imagine coming in the summertime when the pool and grounds are at their best! I’ll put that on my bucket list!

Located just 20 min's north of Sudbury, in Hanmer. Magnificently groomed, inviting gardens surround this immaculately clean and welcoming house and property. Outstanding Mexican theme and cultural artifacts. Friendly hostess who cares deeply to provide excellent hospitality, offering a selection of appetizing, nicely presented meals and personal attention to your every need. Helene Dubois is the consummate hostess, and her partner Mark is most pleasant as well. Super comfy beds, spacious rooms, beautiful, cultural amenities provide wonderful eye candy. 15 out of ten, or higher, is our rating. You could never be disappointed booking this gorgeous place. Pet friendly, (at least for us) and a large pool. Beautiful grounds for planned weddings . A/C, sauna, several area for dining, family with big screen TV, and TV's in all bedrooms. Stayed in many B&B's, but this one deserves the highest accolades going.

The Hacienda is a destination vacation! You don’t need a reason to be in the Sudbury area except to just stay and relax on this estate. Surely you have looked at all of the online photos and they are gorgeous, and it only gets better once you arrive. It’s truly breathtaking!
I stayed here for a full week in March to spend time with my 17 year old nephew snowmobiling and other snow activities. We stayed in the 2 double bed and Queen bedrooms. We had a tour of the King room, and I REALLY look forward to bringing my boyfriend in the near future!!
Helene's breakfasts are delicious; she offers a menu to choose from the night before. The dining room sideboard is full of coffees, teas, hot chocolate and treats, a mini fridge for milk and cream, water and other beverages, and space for your dinner leftovers. I would like to tell you more about what is offered, but I’d rather you be surprised! One hint: homemade granola! 😋
Helene and Marc's home is a perfect mix of classy and comfortable. Their home was filled with fancy and elegant Easter decor for our stay.
I loved all of the common areas here: a games room, a large screen tv room, and the fountain room ...the online pics can't do these rooms justice.
I am so looking forward to returning! 🙃

We were able to book a last minute room at The Hacienda B&B while driving through Sudbury. The location is incredible, sitting on 5 acres of beautifully manicured gardens. Our room was spacious, with high ceilings and filtered light. The entire location is designed with Mexican finishes, fixtures and artifacts. Very clean, lovely breakfast...wish we had more time to enjoy the pool and surrounding country!

I was so lucky I was able to have my wedding at The Hacienda! The interior was spectacular! Decorated so beautifully, the atrium was cozy and inviting!
The grounds were amazing and the hosts were the best! Super clean and tidy inside, cute little finishes that made it feel like home !! I stayed in the king size bed room, the ensuite bath was amazing.
The breakfast was phenomenal!!
The ceremony was so nice in front of their pond. We set up our own tent for the reception but helene and mark were always around helping. This place works the best with small amounts of people, we only had 25 including ourselves.
Cant say enough about how great helene was!! We plan on going back in the summer for a little getaway !
Thanks again helene ❤

The food, the service, the rooms and the value all amazing. I will never stay anywhere else when I'm in Sudbury. Helen is the most welcoming person, with great knowledge of the area and is a top notch chef. The theme was gorgeous and so was Jack the dog! 5 stars all day long!
