Was driving from Saskatchewan to Ontario for a big move and had been driving for around 16 hours. Thankfully they were still open and had a room available. The location was easy to find and is a straight shot right out of town if you're leaving again. The man behind the desk was very kind, gave me the wifi password...

The Lakehead motel is an excellent price compared to the other Thunder Bay area motels. The area it is located in doesn't look the nicest, but we had no issues, and I don't think it is really as bad as 1st impression. The room had an updated bathroom which was very nice. However, the rest of the room needed plaster...

I saw this online after along afternoon of searching, i am picky and frugal, plus my wife would kill me if it was not just so. I talk to the owner and made reservations for a two day stay as we were taking my daughter up to Thunderbay to start at Lakehead University on Sept. 2nd,3 of us one day...

Good place to stay for the price (70$ all taxes included). Old style room but everything was clean and it is not a big place (maybe 15 rooms?) Fridge and microwave in the room, all working well. This a good place to stop by as it is in a quiet area and there are restaurants nearby.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. The room we stayed in had two double beds, a mini fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was clean and spacious. When we arrived ( stopped on our way through from NB to AB ) I put my 2 year old son in the bath tub, cleaned him up and put him In his pyjamas, and...

For the price, this is a nice little find. Very basic, but clean and friendly. It's located on an old motel strip in a semi-industrial/ commercial area, but is less than a 10 minute drive from the north downtown where there are several good restaurants. We accidentally left a suitcase in the parking lot and the owner managed to track...

Good stay and cheap rate...good for families that aren't rich...I'd recommend to these families that don't have much money. Kids enjoyed the privacy as well and nice view to Lake Superior ....good service

Traveling by motorcycle solo makes it hard to call ahead or really research places to stay ahead of time. I usually just spot a place stop in and use my gut to tell me if it is ok. This place was perfect to stay an evening in. Perfectly clean and comfortable for me. Carpets were clean and the bathroom spotless....

My stay at Lakehead was very nice. My room was fairly dated (not recently renovated) but very clean and comfortable. I had a regular room (not a suite) but it had a microwave, mini fridge, and a little kitchen table. The price was great ($60 on a Wednesday night) and for that price this motel exceeded my expectations. The WiFi...

Not only is this hotel affordable, the owners go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. Rooms are extremely clean, newly renovated with brand new bathrooms, new flooring and carpeting. The suites are a great deal! No more staying at expensive hotels for us.
