We stayed here last fall and we were very pleased. Rooms are clean and beds were very comfortable. Last fall we paid $97. This past weekend we stayed and we paid $173. which included $20 for our little dog which we didn't have a problem with but it was cold. We ended up getting about 4" of snow overnight and the heat was turned off for the night or turned down very low. Seniors are up and down all night and they need the heat left up for the night. Even our little dog was cold. Needless to say we will not stay here again. I could have stayed elsewhere and it would have been cheaper and we would have had breakfast and coffee in the room. It was my own fault for not asking the price when booking but never thought it would jump like that.

Room was fine for a night. Not dirty. Can’t control heat in the room, have to call front desk to turn it up for you. Pets allowed for a fee. Wifi wasn’t working consistently, kept going out. Art on the walls was interesting. Access room from outside.

We arrived after a 15 hr drive very tired, owner asked if I wanted a queen or king, took the king, $75 including tax. Room very clean, large tv and great Internet (included), tiny fridge that worked great. I was so surprised at how comfortable both the bed and pillows were, and I am very picky. The only downside? The room smelled a bit musty at first and then we realized that it had likely been a smoking room. That being said we would stay there again.

There are apparently smoking rooms still and the room we had definitely smelled heavily of cigarettes. If this hotel has rooms that don’t smell like smoke it would be a solid 2.5..you get what you pay for. The ashtray smell just caught me off guard and I couldn’t get past it.

Checked online and found not great reviews but the advertised price was $99 which seemed not too crazy for a dump in Thunder Bay. Upon arriving and checking in at the motel office (which reeked of marijuana) and giving all of my information I was given a price of $170 plus tax which would have put the price over $200. I think the owner was seriously high and thought I was some kind of dummy to pay that for something that was obviously a fleabag dump. We moved on and stayed in a suite at the days inn in thunder bay which was a beautiful hotel for $200/night. In short, don't go here, don't support this con man.

I tried to check in today with my reservation showing a guaranteed rate of $75. The owner said I had to pay $99. I showed him my email confirmation at the $75 rate but he said I had to pay the higher rate. I cancelled my reservation and left. The city is sold out. Which is why he is doing this I would assume. In looking at prior reviews apparently this has happened before. Shameful way to run a business.

Don't bother. Rude owners charging way to much for a total dump, Don't believe anything posted about prices. ITs really not even worth calling. Not sure how this place gets even gets one star. All the places around it are better priced and much nicer.

This motel was terrible! Bed was comfortable and clean but the host was very rude. She charged me 25.00 PER DOG pet fee! When ai complained she lowered it to 20$ per dog! I have NEVER been charged per dog! The tv was difficult to watch because it was parallel to the bed not across from it as is usual. As a pet friendly hotel they ask you to pick up after your per but don't have a single trash can. The shower handle came off in my hand and the magnetic shower head fell off and hit me in the head. Most expensive stay so far out of 4 nights!

We arrived late at this motel on a weeknight, and there was a vacancy. All other motels were booked, but now I know why this motel wasn't. We stayed only 3 hours. Although the room was clean and spacious, there were people milling around outside, especially one hanging around my truck. I had backed in against a wall for security reasons even though the truck was 5 years old, but it was in great shape. I stood outside on the common balcony, and someone walked over and asked if I had seen someone eyeing my truck. He said that he saw him too and there were others, but he would keep an eye on it for me as he didn't sleep! He also said that someone was eyeing the locked container on his old work truck. With that, I walked back into our room and said we're getting out of here. As we packed the truck, there was someone pacing back and forth in the parking. There were no pictures, as there was no time. It's not even the case of you getting what you pay for as this motel was not cheap at $130, but it was not worth the stress of a sleepless night! We relocated to a secure area and slept in our truck.

Yes it was. Our puppy was 7 months old and very active but we had a ground floor room off the parking lot and it was so convenient to take her for a walk without disturbing anyone.
