Bugs every where carpets felt wet walls felt ran down and they looked like they haven't been cleaned in 5 years. All the money the owners spent was on a tv curtains looked garbage did I mention the bugs? Every where you look there are bugs only come here if its a last resort. the washroom looks absolutely terrible i wouldn't take a shower if i was you. This place looks like a hooker house i needed to use my own blanket (and pillows) because how bad the bed looks the only good thing is the television but the remotes hardly work and its a inconvenience using them.dont come here except if its a resort.

the owner who was very pleasant showed us the room. wed been on the road all day and just needed basic, clean accommodation. it was just that. appeared clean and was very, very, basic. nothing in that room that you would place in your home. very old. tv set maybe 10 years old or older...didn't matter...didn't work anyway. shabby looking, worn, old couch. carpeting that was very thin feeling, old & dark...could have been 1 step up from indoor outdoor carpeting. And there was this odd odor. There was a fan in the room which was plugged into a receptacle with maybe 4 or 5 other items. thin towels in the bathroom which you might have used as large dishtowels and the soap, which came in a plastic package must have been very old as it looked and felt like a hard piece of plastic. Rather expensive, over $100, taxes in, for what you get. not recommended at all.

They very kindly accommodated my dog and I when another local motel did not have the courtesy to return calls. This is an older property but was very clean and very well maintained. A very quiet location outside of Thunder Bay.

My husband and I have been staying at this hotel on several different occasions and found everything ,clean, comfortable, and accommodation very satisfying. This family run business is very attentive to their guest needs and request promptly. I always and would always commend this motel to anyone heading to Thunderbay, Kakabeka Fall or Kenora to stay here.

It is an older hotel but kept very clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I have stayed here quite a few times now. Don't forget to bring cash as they have no debit machine. Safe travels. Cheers

Two night stay. No clock/radio, TV had one channel but remote was not working (clerk shrugged his shoulders). Without a radio or TV channel couldn't check the weather. Had to ask for a bedside lamp, no hair dryer, pillow shams (older) but no pillow cases. Large room, seemed clean, bathtub had old stains, soap dish rusty loud bathroom fan connected to the light, (noisy at night) new shower curtain. Wasn't offered Wi-fi so probably wasn't any. Nice new fridge. Not for $80. Not really sure who posted the nice positive reviews.

The bad review is rubbish! I have stayed here many times. The rooms are always very clean. The price is more than reasonable. The manager always has a smile on her face. A good God fearing woman! They always take good care of me. Renovations have been ongoing and it's looking great!

This is a family business run to its fullest potential. I recently moved back to town in pretty rough shape, the has owner treated me like one of her own children from the first day I pulled in. I couldn't ask anything more of them or the accommodations. They are friends for life and do business the way most have forgotten how to. They would give you the shirt off their back to make sure that their guests are happy. Book a room, for a night, week, month or year. My neighbours I had while staying here became like family. Highly recommended and I'll leave here with the utter most respect for the family and their business.
