When we arrived in Thunder Bay late afternoon, we had difficulty finding a hotel. We were told the only hotel that had rooms was the Prince Arthur. It is not a hotel we would have chosen on our own. However, we found the rooms clean and modern. Parking was easy and accessible. Wi-fi was included, plus there is a pool...

This is a good place to stay for location. The view is really good of the Marina and Lake superior including the "Sleeping Giant". There are lots of restaurants around, but the desk doesn't recommend any of them. They just said "walk around and find one". There is no microwave, the a/c is noisy. The guy at the desk reminded...

Well, the staff were incredible actually. The room was small and this hotel is very old, being probably one of the oldest hotels in the area. We would not stay here again I don't think unless nothing else available. Our room faced the city side as opposed to the waterfront. We could hear every car and truck go by as...

I visited this hotel with my wife over a weekend and selected the suite looking towards the lake and the Sleeping Giant. I mean the view was beautiful but the suit had sofas that looked like purchased straight from the thrift store and one recliner was broken in one of the corners of the living room. The bathroom was old...

Amazed TripAdvisor books this downtrodden hotel. Checked in and were given different room than we booked. Got moved only to find sheets had not been changed on one of the beds. Dust everywhere on every surface, old furniture, missing light bulbs. Windows all sealed shut. Dirty dishes lining the hallway floors. We gave back the key and left.

We found this hotel to be fair with their price, its an older hotel but our room was nice and clean great beds, good pillows, could have better towels, it has a nice location.with a great breakfast. If in the area again we would stay here.

This is an older style rairplway hotel. We stayed one night, room 529, in a queen lake view room. The room was large, spotlessly clean, etc. Bed and betting were very good. A/C worked as it should. Bathroom was small as is the case with mant of these older hotels but it was on perfect condition. Lots and lots of...

This is an old style hotel, originally built by the railroad in 1911. As a result the rooms may not live up to the expectations of some travellers. That said, we found it to be clean, fairly well maintained considering the age. The front desk staff were very helpful and anxious to make our stay an enjoyable one. The waterfront...

The hotel is old and could use a remodel but it was clean. Our door was not very secure and we used a chair to secure it. There was a complimentary breakfast. The hotel is located near the waterfront and many food places. Just a short drive away is unique shopping.

It matched our expectations - dated but charmingly so. Clean, quiet, friendly staff, everything worked. No different than the dozens of Manhattan hotels of the same vintage. Clientele was couples and families.
