We've stayed here 3 times now on cross-Canada trips, always just for one night. The staff are very friendly; the pull-thru sites very level. Not overly large, but adequate. Highway noise is quite noticeable but that is the price you pay for being conveniently located off the highway. The "haunted Halloween" display was a ton of fun to walk through!

We set off for our first ever RV trip across the country due to the COVID pandemic. The Thunder Bay KOA has some highway noise and the RV sites are a bit spartan. But the common facilities are good including common kitchens.

We stayed there on journey west in site T41. It was July, 2020. On our return journey, we reserved at the same KOA. The man answering the telephone, Kelly, asked is we wanted the same site, T41. I said yes. He said, "you got it." The confirmation said the site was "nestled among the trees." On the day we got there, we were told we did not have site T41; we were given site 126. We refused to stay in that site which was beyond poor. We were told we could stay in the site free but they had no other site for us. We got a refund and left, having to drive another 100 kms to find a place to stay, in Nipigon Ontario. We had already driven 400 kms that day. In our late 70s, we found that a very long day indeed. We will NEVER stay at the Thunder Bay KOA again. It is definitely not up to KOA standards.

This is a really big and pretty busy KOA. We stayed in a Kabin which was exactly what we expected as we have stayed in other KOA kabins. The outdoor kitchen was great - very helpful when your there to be a tourist and don't want to set up the whole camp kitchen. The pool was fine, the kids liked the playground, the laundry was good for me. The WIFI was pretty limited but worked in the laundry room. Only the bathrooms were a little old and far from the cabins but it looked like there might be a new bathroom under construction to solve the problem.

We stayed here in two RVs, and we weren't impressed. The grounds are nicely taken car of, but it was overall rather barren. The neighboring road construction was unfortunate (but I realize that's not within their control). We certainly appreciated the large laundry facility, but the place just seemed a little sad. The cost was typical of a KOA -- slightly higher than others, but not unreasonable. I might stay here again, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin with a toddler for one night.
The cabin was clean and cozy, with a queen bed and bunk beds. Small fridge and microwave provided along with single serve coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster cutlery, dishes and some pots and pans. There is dish soap but no "scrubbie" to use. Storage in bathroom is pretty good. Used bottom bunk to store other items and clothing. Some hooks, but no dresser/cupboard space.
Must bring own linens and towels.
Deck and patio area very nice. You are close to your neighbours though (other cabins plus lots of RV's) Everyone was friendly but each site had their own music playing late into the night (quiet time supposed to be 11 pm to 7 am) There was loud music playing well past 11 pm, but we always travel with a white noise machine, so we were able to "drown it out" when we wanted to sleep. The music was to our taste as well, would have been annoying if we were beside heavy metal fans ;)
Propane provided for BBQ, must bring your own firewood (or can purchase from them).
Pool area very nice, especially being heated. Small playground, kind of outdated, no slide.
An overall enjoyable stay, and will stay again.

We spent 5 days in TB and set up our RV at the TB KOA. Place was awesome. We were on top of the hill which gave us more privacy. Full services, great resort like pool and awesome staff. We had a wasp nest on site so i reported it to the office. Before I got back to the site (2 minutes) they were already there dealing with it. Fun little fish pond and playground for the kids. Brand new comfort station, very clean.

Had it not been for our previous stays at 2 excellent KOA’s, might have ranked this one higher. Still very clean and tidy, located near Lake Superior. Grounds just not 100%, but it was a dry spell. Also Wi go only available bear registration building was disappointing.
I would still recommend, and likely ranks a 5 vs other non KOA sites

We stayed one night on our way out west. We walked around the park, which is quite large and it appeared to be clean and well maintained. We didn't use the pool area, but it's large and nice. I'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

"KOA is NOT a hotel, it is a campground. Sites at the back of the park are nicer than those right by the store."
