Detailed Reviews
The bathrooms had great shower amenities. Soap, dove shampoo and conditioner. The room was clean and the breakfast was good, can always add but the essentials were all there. The women cleaning and stalking the breakfast area wore a mask and sanitized everything all morning. I really appreciated that. Thank you

I stayed at the Days Inn while visiting a family member in the Regional Hospital. I am a frequent business traveler and usually stay in high end hotels. The Days Inn in Thunder Bay was a pleasant surprise. The room was spotless and very well appointed, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fine. My only complaint would be the smell of cigarette smoke in the elevator, but that is the result of smoke brought in on the clothes of some guests. An air freshener in the elevator would be a good thing. There is a very good restaurant next door (5 Forks) which serves basic dishes at very competitive prices ( and they have a good selection of draught beer). I would definitely use this hotel again.

Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel property. It appears to be a fairly new property that is in great condition. Our room was clean. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The restaurant next door not only offered a wide selection of dinner options but they also offered a discount for being a guest at the hotel. The breakfast provided was fine but unfortunately did not include hot cooke eggs, bacon, etc.

There were signs up about “Wyndham Green” (them not washing sheets until the third day—which is fine with me), but I don’t buy “Wyndham Green” when there’s no recycling anywhere in the building. How do you not provide recycling in 2023?!
Gym was fine—a small number of machines and some free weights, but there was only one towel and the water cooler was empty.
There were no pool towels the night before either.
Room was clean and good.
Breakfast was good. I appreciated that there was oat milk available.

We stayed here after a very long day of driving. The young man at the desk was very helpful. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bathroom was really nice with soft towels. There was a coffee maker with coffee and tea choices, and a fridge. We found the area to be very quiet with no noise from adjoining rooms or the hallway. We actually enjoyed staying there and would definitely book at it again when in the area.

My husband I and stayed over at the Day's Inn by Wyndham on our trip across North Western Ontario. The Hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood and there's a restaurant right close by called 'The Five Forks' that you can easily walk to for dinner.
The staff were pleasant and friendly and the room clean and comfortable. There's a coffeemaker and bar fridge. We must have been in a Handicapped Room as the bathroom and doorways were LARGE. :)
The Hotel provided breakfast in the morning and due to Covid restrictions have things laid out so you can skim through the breakfast room and grab what you want to eat and then either go back to your room or eat outside on the adjoining patio which did look inviting. They had muffins, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. It was appreciated.
Our room rate was $131.97 plus taxes which brought the total to $155.10. A little pricey but between a nice quiet sleep and breakfast included it was worth it.

I would never go back to this hotel, ever! The staff weren’t very friendly or helpful, I booked online and because I didn’t have a credit card upon arrival he wasn’t going g to let me stay there or refund my money. I expressed how other hotels along our journey would just take a refundable deposit and that I was okay with that. It took him a while to figure it out. The room was disgustingly dirty, and had an over powering smell of musty butt crack.
The next day it took almost an hour to get checked out, we had to wait because they had a cash deposit we wanted back and they were with another guest. The guest in front of us was charged almost $3k for a one night stay and the front desk couldn’t refund their money. It was such a sin for that elderly couple. Anyways, it took a long time before they came to a resolution so we had to patiently wait. When I showed the agent a few pictures of the grossness he didn’t care to see.

The rooms are very clean and fairly roomy. Television is okay with only 46 channels. Breakfast is great with plenty of choices. My wife and I have stayed there 3 times and planning many more. Restaurants are walking distance and Subway and Tim Horton almost next door I would recommend this hotel for everyone but especially older folks

This hotel was very conveniently located to stay while we were there to tour Lakehead University with our granddaughter, who will attend in Sept. Close walking distance to the University as well as Timmies and a few other restaurants. Special rates for this purpose were greatly appreciated. The property was lovely and clean, with friendly staff, and a good breakfast included!

If you are planning a stay at Thunderbay then I should say Days Inn should be your first choice if budget is not an issue. As the check in time is 4 pm and check out time is 11 am so probably you are paying more for the stay less than 24 hrs. Rest is excellent

Depending on the route you take, the Law School is an 8 or 9 minute drive from the Hotel. While the University's main campus is across the street from Days Inn, the Law School is located in a different location.
No, only service animals are allowed. Holiday Inn, Best Western Norwester, Valhalla Inn are all pet friendly.

Joanne, Assistant Manager - Guest Customer Service
Hello Rajni; unfortunately we do not have the parking space to offer a 'park'n'fly' service at our location, nor do we have an airport shuttle at this time. The most economical option for most guests is to use the long term parking at the airport. The cost is about $7.00/day and would actually be less expensive than cab fare to the airport.
