Detailed Reviews
The place is not fancy but is ok. That being said, our group was shocked by an older night desk staff who was rude. We had a course that started early on Saturday so we were downstairs between 630 and 7 am. Some of our group turned on the light and sat down in the dining area. We had been told the night before that something should be around for us to eat before we left. Well, rude lady bustled over and snapped that the breakfast was not ready then turned off the light leaving everyone shocked and sitting in the dark.
Manners and customer awareness might have served her better. And perhaps with numerous large groups of customers the hotel can be a bit flexible with their serving hours.
Remember Comfort Inn Timmins... an unhappy customer will tell ten people how they feel.

Absolutely nothing special about this place. Check in staff did her job, but did not smile once. The room was clean , the bed was comfortable. This is a pet friendly stay. Complimentary breakfast is a nice touch to compensate for the high price of the room. This is an OK place to stay, but it does not warrant any "special" rating

This hotel is rather nice, but I did have a few problems while staying here. First my room keycard didn't work off the bat and I had to go back and get it reprogrammed. Then the WiFi went down repeatedly while I was using it. That said the room itself was nice, the bathroom great and the staff friendly.

Hotel's Favourite
Absolutely amazing experience here. Let me explain. I travel a lot for my kids sports and I find most places are 'average' when it comes to service. As a person with Celiac, I find that sometimes travel can be difficult. When I called to book our rooms, the staff member was fabulous. She listened to what I required, and when I started asking questions about the food choices in the morning to see if I could partake in the complimentary breakfast, she was quick to say she didn't know much about if their products contained gluten but was more than willing to look into it all for me. As I said before, this is typically what I expect from most hotels when I ask this question. What made this experience absolutely amazing was what happened after. When I came to check in, not only was the staff member I booked with there, she has some additional information for me. Not only did she print off the information about the ingredients in most of their breakfast items, she had gone ahead to look around at some restaurants that I could dine in for dinner. On top of that, her and her manager had gone out to the store and picked up a Gluten Free loaf of bread for me (Thank you!!!) and a box of Gluten Free cereal so I was totally covered for breakfast!
The next day when I arrived at the dinning area, the staff made sure I had the items they had purchased, and even checked out the remainder of the items on the breakfast menu so that I knew what was 100% safe. For anyone travelling with allergies, these steps that were taken made me feel so happy to be a customer and made my experience absolutely incredible.
The hotel was clean, easy to find, in a good location to all the attractions in Timmins, quiet and comfortable.

Rooms are clean and affordable. They take covid preventative measures seriously(ex:masks are worn in the building, sanitation is done regularly, physical distancing). Staff is friendly and are extremely accommodating. 10/10 for the price point, would visit again!

We had booked through a Pet booking website. There was a problem with the booking and we were notified by phone. The website - a pet service website - hadn't been identified as a Pet service website. This meant the room we booked was not a pet friendly room. We worked it out over the phone and were told we could take care of the details on arrival at the hotel. Once we arrived we were greeted by Tiffany. Tiffany handled things very well and in a professional manner. She made us and our pet feel very welcome. The pet room is on the first floor and has patio doors to the outdoors which makes it easy to take pets for their walks. The room was clean and comfortable. The Hotel is well situated on the exit to Highway 11. Thanks again. The Coffee and breakfast served us well.

Dear 2Travel55, Thank you for your 5 star, detailed review! It is unfortunate that we cannot control all of the third party booking sites, but we do try very hard to ensure our guests needs are met! It was great to meet you, I enjoyed our chat! We do have a wonderful property for our four-legged guests - they much appreciate the convenience of the patio doors. We look forward to the next time you are in the area and look forward to welcoming you again. Stay safe and stay warm!

:
I recently stayed at comfort inn Timmins and was not Impressed about my stay at all.Â
Hallways were dirty and had garbage on them, the one worker did not answer phone when I called down, i couldn't find anyone at desk when I went to talk to someone. Vending machines were falling apart , I was.charged more than I was quoted from the choice hotel representative I talked to.
The girl working treated me like I had leopracy or something when I showed up with my cat even though I told them ahead I wanted pet friendly room.
It was the worst hotel experience have had and it felt like a dingy and unclean place, you would think that in these times you would want a hotel to be clean and look healthy and tidy.

Just did 3-nights last week for the Mining Expo and it was a great Hotel to stay in. Its probably been 10 years since I pulled my business away over worn out rooms and road noise.
Due to the Mining Expo my regular hotels were sold out but my distributor pre-booked me at this Comfort Inn so I was worried about the quality of my stay. What a relief when I discovered it was recently renovated and I had a terrific stay.
Room - Well cleaned each day, well stocked, bed comfortable, A/C worked well and relatively quiet.
Facilities - Didn't use anything but Everything looked clean. Didn't eat the free breakfast on site so can't comment
Parking - Lots but fills up fast closest to the doors. I'd say they need 1-2 more Handicap spots near the front door though
Staff - All very friendly and professional. Cleaners do a great job ! Just like 10 years ago, the Front Desk/Cleaning staff here are first class and make the business a success. Glad the Hotel has been upgraded to match the Staff expertise.
Negative - Only thing is no elevators so be prepared for one flight of stairs
