Wow, not a typical ramada. I felt like I was in the shining movie. The facility is in a major need of a renovation. The staff are nice and helpful, and the room was clean, but wow not what you expect from a Ramada franchise.
This is an old property that seems to have purchased RAMADA franchisee. Cleanliness - Fairly reasonable Staff - Very helpful and kind Manager - A grumpy old man who was rude to his own staff and tried to be over-smart with the guests. The breakfast - A bunch of goodies stuffed in a paper bag. It had a couple of cookies, water, juice, muffin and coffee/tea Stayed at the place for an overnight stay only. It wasn't bad for a an overnight stay, given I was driving for almost 10 hours.
Quick check in with very nice informative staff. Room was clean and large. Very quiet. Bag lunch was just ok. Lots of parking in a good location. Five minute walk from both Walmart one way and The Temiskaming Square the other way.
Dirty hotel. It was like they never swept the floors in any part including my room. Poor service. Was only every greeted when I checked in. The staff seemed to just take enough time to look up from their phones to see a person was walking by, then would put their noses back in their phones without acknowledging the person. Horrible breakfast. Spare yourself and go pay for breakfast elsewhere.
Great spot - close to all the shopping in Timmins. A warm and helpful staff with a touch of beautiful aboriginal decor. A great find. Loved the teepee as a peaceful spot to visit and reflect in the centre courtyard. The lounge has all that's needed to relax - fireplace and tv. The hotel's proximity to the Timmins Square made a huge difference for our visit.
Internet keeps going on and off. When it is on it is so slow, other hotels in the Timmins area have better service, their internet is far better then the Ramada’s in Timmins. The rooms are not too bad but the cleaning of rooms could be way better especially the bathrooms. The breakfast is good, good variety.
Stayed for multiple nights. This is an extremely run down hotel and I highly recommend to look at the alternatives in Timmins. I had suite that had couch where the cushions were so worn you needed to have both on top of each other to be somewhat comfortable. The room looked like it had not been touched in over twenty years and had dark and creepy feel to it. The breakfast was very basic with the powered eggs, waffle maker, cereal, toast. And sausages. The utensils were plastic and plates and cups were polystyrene which does not help for good tasting breakfast. Hard boiled eggs still defrosting and chocolate chip muffins in a devour that was not inviting. Staff was hit and miss for service as was housekeeping in cleaning room
I had a great visit with Ramada. Made my stay very welcoming, the staff were great and very nice to us. I am glad I stayed at Inn. I have an upcoming visit in November, I will be staying there for sure.
The Ramada Inn in Timmins is an older hotel. The lobby has been updated, but the rooms are needing an uplift. Parking is ample. WIFI works well throughout the building. This is a two story hotel with no elevator. Hallways are long. The meeting rooms are modern and updated. The continental breakfast is on the sparse side. The hotel is close to most services / stores.
This placed was booked last minute. I was there for 2 nights. Breakfast was not bad. This place is rundown and the people working the front desk are not very friendly. They told me I was getting a discount but then realized that the online price was less. They honoured the online price after bringing it to their attention. Reluctantly they gave me the online price. I will not be staying here again,
