My husband and I spent a most recent weekend at this incredibly delightful bed and breakfast. Not only is this inn located in an excellent location to walk to many of Toronto's top attractions (10 to 20 minutes away), you just cannot beat its excellent price for accommodation. We stayed on the top floor in the impeccably clean Trillium suite... More

It was one of the best experiences we had as travellers. The room was cozy, clean, and warm. The food was plentiful and delicious. The host was friendly, laid back, and very accommodating. Everything was taken care of quickly and we had zero problems. We would stay here again and highly recommend this place for anyone planning a trip to... More

I stayed 2 nights in October in the inn's basement apartment. It has a kitchen, stove, microwave, fridge, kitchen table, private washroom with shower, desk, a tv, a comfy sofa and a cozy bed. The owners are really nice and helpful. Breakfast is included and there are gluten-free and dairy free options. It is a 10 min walk to the... More

We had the Trillium room, on the top floor (no lift but help with cases given freely) which had a patio door leading to a personal decked (garden furniture) area with gazebo. Lovely airy space to enjoy after a day exploring the city. The tram stop is at end of street, but hotel is within walking distance of downtown. Another... More

I arrived at the Inn and was met at the door by Miko, who then INSISTED he show me around and let me know how everything worked. He was very informative and friendly. The room was a perfect size and unique from any hotel room I had stayed in before, it felt more like a room at a friends house... More

Summary - as this was our first time staying at a B&B, it took a little getting used to, but was nice. The price was definitely better than the major hotels in a large city. Do I prefer B&Bs now - No - but I can understand why some would prefer them. Our host, Miko, was very friendly and kind.... More

The owners / staff are friendly and accommodating. My room was decent- comfortable bed, just not super clean (clean but dusty and some of the furniture is quite worn looking). The street Seaton is a quiet residential street. However, the main streets that Seaton intersects do not feel as safe. If walking down Dundas from Yonge, you will encounter some... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We could park our car in the street for a minor fee, which the owners had arranged for us. We had the appartment, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is self service, but you can find everything you need. We enjoyed talking and sharing travel tips with the other guests in the... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
