I’m a professional from California who stayed at the Toronto Garden Inn for 9 weeks in 2011 while I was working in Toronto. The owner, Ergin is a great innkeeper and really tries hard to make sure people have an enjoyable stay in Toronto. It’s located in downtown Toronto and a great place to stay to enjoy urban living. While...

I stayed 2 nights at Toronto Garden Inn. The owner Ergin was so helpful from the beginning. He responsed all my emails to make sure he will be taking care the guests well. After I arrived to the B&B, Ergin was always available for my questions, and I enjoyed very much talking to him about the life of Toronto. The...

We stayed at the Inn for 9 nights. It was wonderful. Ergin, the Inn manager was very down to earth, helpful and friendly. The Inn is equipped with a full kitchen where we were able to prepare dinners with amazing produce finds from stands all throughout Toronto. They provided anything you would need for a hearty breakfast every morning. The...

I never imagined one could find a B & B in Toronto and to find such a clean, friendly and homely atmosphere I felt like it was home. Ergin was a super host and...

Everything about Toronto Garden Inn was pleasant and comfortable, I only wish I had found it sooner. Great price, very homey feel, clean, friendly. Ergin, the Inn Keeper, is professional and kind. Each morning you wake to coffee on, a fully set table and lovely breakfast assortment, including a huge bowl of fresh fruit. I've been visiting my daughter here...

Nice place where you really feel at home, taking your breakfast in a big kitchen with everyone living in the B&B. Comfortable room with space and nice bed. The location is also good if you don't like the crowded center of the city.

Before I came to Toronto, I spent a long time looking for the right B&B place for me to go. I finally found this one, and the moment I saw the picture of it, I loved it! This was my first experience with B&B and I must say: it was definitely a good one! I had a pleasant time there....

Having had decent luck with a similar b and b in another city, I figured I'd try again, especially with the insane hotel rates for this time due to the Toronto International Film Festival. The place is in an old victorian house on Seaton Street, which is a 13-block walk from Dundas Square, which is a Subway stop on the...

the perfect introduction to the B&B experience. Great food and lots of it and wonderfully presented. The rooms are clean and well appointed. Check out the common room, particularly the music stand beside the piano; an intriguing surprise awaits. For those of you who are more experienced with B&B accomodations, this one will, I believe, will become one of your...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
