Beautiful hotel with a majestic and grand lobby area. The hotel is large, but the room we stayed in was small and also took a long time to walk to from the elevator. This made it a pain when we were dragging our luggage around. It's a historical hotel located in the financial district area which makes it convenient to take public transportation. The restaurants all service good food, but overpriced. We appreciated that there was a direct pathway from the hotel to get to the subway and that the train station was right across the street. Other than that, considering royalty, celebrities and leaders from other countries stay at this hotel, I was a bit surprised because although it's a very elite hotel, I've stayed at nicer hotels that have better furnishings and updated rooms. That said, it's still a very nice hotel.

Hotel's Favourite
From beginning to end my experience at the hotel was above and beyond any of my expectations. The staff were just incredible and made me feel so welcome and excited for my stay. Joy, in particular, at the front desk was so great. You're lucky if you get to check in/out with her, she was just exceptional. The views are amazing. The hotel, from the lobby, to the elevator area, to the room itself, is beautiful. Really looking forward to returning in normal times when everything within the hotel is open to experience as well, but still had the best possible time!

One of the absolute best Gold levels we have stayed at. Thank you to the kind staff who made our stay even better than we could have imagined. The breakfast and snacks were delicious and quite filling. They really go out of their way to make you feel special. The library bar was so good, highly recommended. Thank you Michael! Also special note, they were very accommodating to our kids (ages 9&11), all the Christmas decorations made their day! Thank you again and we can’t wait to come back!

The rooms are lovely with so many amenities. Housekeeping does a fabulous job each day keeping the rooms perfect. The food has always been excellent in the past but they have managed to improve it further. Lots of interesting choices and high quality. A nice broad selection of wines. The service levels in the lounge are fantastic. All the staff are very friendly and helpful plus they go above and beyond to please you. We just love the relaxing atmosphere of the Gold Level. Plus the great hotel location and all the other hotel amenities. We had an exceptional meal experience in Reign as well.

I still haven't unpacked from my stay from 2 weeks ago because I found a live bedbug while packing up to leave on my last day. I killed it in a napkin with my fingernail, and sealed it and envelope then brought it home. I wasn't sure what it was until I researched it after I got home. Room was on the 6th floor and belonging with the bug was by the window curtains. Good: fast check-in despite bustling lobby obviously busy and popular day, accessible to underground network near subway train station and nearby malls. There's lovely food courts and a network of places to eat nearby both underground and outside. Close to shopping. Hotel provided a free shuttle to the function we attended (Royal Winter fair, watching not competing). Pool and gym is nice but showers were cold. Complimentary tea bags, a kettle and mugs in each room. I had to fill kettle using the bathtub. Meh: I payed extra for a renovated room. A friend paid less for a non -renovated room. Our rooms, beds, bathroom fixtures, furniture were the same, and both on floor 6. Not impressed. Halls have low-ish ceilings and rooms don't have ventilation fans. No queen beds just doubles. Not a good place for tall people. Thumbs down: Absolutely no space in the fridge to put your own drinks. (It's like a locked fridge). Bed bug found in my newly purchased belonging, which was a red plastic bucket and the bug was hiding inside something that was there. I suspect it crawled in from the curtains and couldn't escape from the plastic sides. I did contact the hotel to inform them. Probably nicer if you book a bigger room with actual storage space for suitcases. Our room had two beds but having more than one suitcase creates a trip hazard. I regret leaving my suitcase by the window curtains because of the bedbugs.

Small rooms. Pool was nice. No breakfast included. Register to be a member for wifi. No particularly standout reason for an expensive (although everywhere in Toronto is “expensive”) “5 star” hotel. Restaurant was a standout and is solely carrying the hotel. It’s pricey, but well worth it. Do yourself a favour and dine at Reign.

This was our first visit here for a while and the high standards, we experienced in the past were mostly maintained. Check in was efficient and friendly and our room, overlooking Union Station was clean comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is in a great position for exploring the downtown area, with a direct connection to the PATH system, allowing you to walk up as far as Dundas Square, without having to go outside, and also a direct connection to Union Station if planning to travel further afield. Since our last visit the foyer has had a makeover with the biggest change being the introduction of Clockwork cocktail bar opposite reception. The noise of the music coming from this bar at times was far too loud, to allow conversation. We had a drink in the Library bar. It was a bit cramped and very pricey, but the service was pretty good. Overall this a great hotel. A little expensive, but great for a special trip.

This lovely hotel is so well situated in the heart of Toronto. Staff are helpful and attentive and the amenities are wonderful. Gym and pool and enjoyable and restaurants are good quality The bar area in the lobby is not great since the hotel was renovated and now has loud pumping house music.

We had a live bug in our bed. Very disappointing, shocking and gross! We were there for the Beck/Halpert wedding. The wedding was great. Servers were awesome, as was the food. Over all the experience was good until the bug was crawling around in our bed. I spoke to a gentleman employee in the hallway, but didn’t have time to stand in line at checkout. I have a picture if you want to see the bug.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and the eloquence of the fairmount, however it was the pleasant and welcoming friendly staff that made this visit perfect Food was amazing, a quiet atmosphere with soft lighting. Fresh herbs from their rooftop I cannot say enough. Everyone should have this luxury everyday , truly amazing experience
