I recently stayed at the Renaissance Toronto during the first week of May. I actually Booked through Hotwire and was not treated any differently, like I have been at other hotels. *NOTE - They charge $12.95 a day for Wi-Fi unless you are a Marriott rewards member so I would suggest signing up prior to arrival. Check in – friendly,...

We have been traveling around the country seeing games in all the MLB stadiums. This hotel is actually built into the stadium. You can actually watch the game from the restaurant and from a few of the rooms. The staff was helpful with a map and pointing out other places of interest. Hotel is also next to the big Toronto...

We have been staying here for the last few years in lieu of being inside the stadium for the Home Opener, and it is a great place to watch the game, and you don't have to fight the crowds at the end of the game. The rooms are nice, and the staff are very accommodating, allowing early check-in when they...

Booked for the stadium view room which was amazing. Worth the price to have your own private room to watch the game! The room itself is a good size, comfortable, clean, nothing remarkable though. The value for the price comes from the stadium view for us.

Dear Geepear, We're delighted you enjoyed your stadium view room. It truly is a unique experience to watch the game from start to finish in the comfort of your guest room where you have the flexibility to come and go as you wish. This is definitely a distinguishing feature of these rooms. We hope to see you again soon. Regards,...

This hotel is all about the view of the stadium. We love the Jays and it is my son's birthday this month so we booked a stadium view room to watch the game and to celebrate. Since there were afternoon games both on the arrival & departure days the room turnover was tight (arrival was 12pm and departure was 10am)....

Stayed there for a night. We are trying a couple of hotels in Toronto every visit, and I must say that Renaissance Toronto Downtown Hotel was a nice hotel. Rooms are clean, a little old but that doesn't make us like it less. They have nice and friendly staff, and special mention to staff Katherine Hernandez, she was very polite...

We recently stayed the night to celebrate our sons birthday. He loves the Blue Jays and staying in hotel rooms so of course spending the night at the Renaissance Toronto which is inside the stadium where the Blue Jays play was a natural fit. The game on the day we checked in was an afternoon game (1pm start) and check...

We travelled from Edmonton to watch three Jays games and spent a few extra days. Fabulous location, close to anything and everything you might need or want to do. Check-in went smoothly, except when we got to our room, they had us in a standard double instead of the king that we had requested. Mentioned it to the check-in staff...

I was here on a conference and was supposed to be booked for three nights but for some reason when I arrived I only got two. I was told I would get the best available rate. Which was WAY over any price for the following TWO weeks. I spoke with the manager who tried to tell me 350 dollars was...

During my stay, I wasn't feeling well. I had a terrible cough, as a result of my allergies. One of the housekeepers, Julie, heard me coughing from outside my room. She called my room, and told me that she heard me coughing, and had gotten me two bottles of water, and asked if i wanted them. I was rather pleasantly...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
