This hotel has become our "go to" place to stay when in downtown Toronto. We have had consistently good experiences here and this past visit did not disappoint. On this trip, we stayed on the "club" floor which gave us access to the lounge. This was a fantastic addition: the afternoon tea and breakfast were great. The Nespresso machine made...

We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years. We enjoy weekend trips to Toronto for shows, shopping, etc. We have stayed at many hotels downtown but keep coming back to the Intercontinental. The staff is always friendly and professional, the rooms are large and comfortable. The atmosphere at the hotel is quiet and upscale. The...

We stayed at this fabulous hotel for 2 nights in October 2016. We had a room on the 24th floor with a great view of the CN Tower, the Blue Jays stadium & the lake. Room was enormous, comfortable, with a hairdryer & lots of complimentary toiletries. We ate in the restaurant one evening which was nice & the breakfasts...

Very nicely appointed room. Standard amenities. Hotel was well located close to most things. Parking was a bit pricey (over $40). Make sure you have a room with access to the Concierge floor...while most of the breakfast items I would pass on...they had scrumptious croissants. Food was much better than in the restaurant.

This hotel is located right in the city centre comma next to the train station and very close to the CN Tower. It is within walking distance to Eaton Centre and Harbour Centre. The hotel is very neat and clean with excellent views from the rooms. Every worker that we encountered at this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful and...

Stayed at the Intercontinental during a site visit to the congress centre as it is conjoined. Very convenient. The bar area is large and the service very attentive and welcoming during the day and in the evening, however, it wasn't too busy. The bar food was good as was the breakfast selection, but we were spoilt for choice in the...

Very nice, clean, beautiful hotel located near anything and everything you could need. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, beautiful hotel restaurant/bar. Stayed on the 11th floor with a view of the CN Tower. Pool/hottub were enjoyable. Parking was a little steep ($45/night) but the valet staff were friendly and helpful. Several good restaurants located nearby/across the street and walking...

Stayed here for a couple of days on a business trip. Lovely staff, clean rooms, good buffet breakfast (club floor) and comfortable beds. Location was ideal with plenty of restaurants nearby and underground tunnels to get us where we needed to go.

Great hotel close to everything, hotel staff were great. They have great bar in the hotel. Awesome view. We had the view of the stadium, we knew when exactly to go see a blue Jay's game. Restaurant across the street from the hotel are open pretty late.

This hotel is conveniently located next block to the airport train station. The hotel itself has very nice deluxe rooms on the higher floors, overlooking the lake and the CN Tower. The rooms are large with an excellent bed and bathroom. Only the TV is a 32" and not a 42" as advertised on the hotel homepage.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
