I was very pleased that this hotel was recommended to me as I typically stay closer to downtown. I was happy that in the immediate area there were plenty of options for dining and shopping within a short distance. It was also easy to catch an Uber although most have a hard time with the address despite a large sign...

Things we like: clean rooms, convenient location to shopping and entertainment , attached underground parking, Portico restaurant, breakfast buffet, easy registration and checkout, free newspapers, friendly and courteous staff. What we did not like: while it was an accessible room, in our judgment, a full size power wheelchair would have a very difficult time in it and most likely could...

Dear Q3601UQmikem, Thank you for your kind words about the hotel, our services, and our team. I am upset to hear that our accessible suites did not meet your needs. We opened the hotel in 1991 and we have always complied with accessibility standards. Throughout the years, we have modified our property and updated our equipment to ensure accessibility to...

We recently returned from a one night stay with our 3 year old and 7 week old. We arrived early and Sheila at the front desk was fantastic. She had our room ready with crib, acknowledging she knows it's tough to travel with kids. She also reiterated that If we needed anything, to let her know. It was great to...

The hotel was great overall. A little bit of walking to get to some livelier areas but overall great stay. It was little on the pricier side, as the name suggests, it's mostly suites. It's great if you have more than 2 people to divide the costs.

Stayed here several times now, and can't think of a better place or value. The location is just off Yonge Street, near the south end of Eaton Center. It's on the subway lines, in the financial district, and near tons of great restaurants in the south part of Toronto. It's an all-suites hotel, with underground parking with unlimited in/out for...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
