I took my neice and nephew to Toronto and stayed in this hotel for one night. It is clean, has nice large rooms, and is very inexpensive compared to other hotels in Toronto. It was within walking distance of many attractions. The staff was helpful and friendly and we were very impressed. The only thing needing improvement is the area...

After having booked online, I showed up at 2 am to check in and was promptly told my room was given away because my credit card was declined. I was never contacted about this. The card I used was valid. "Luckily" they had a suite available for 100 dollars over what I was originally supposed to pay. Tired, and having...

Two streets south of Bloor, no issues with location close to subway, etc; short taxi ride if you rather that. Had to park on opposite side of street in parking garage not an issue for me this time. Looking for a place to eat breakfast.. Cross street/ cut through parking garage/ cross that street/ enter subway door, walk toward bloor/...

We had a king bed room on the top floor. The room was very spacious and clean. While the parking lot is small we had no trouble getting a spot with several in and out trips over a couple of days. The hotel is nice a close to restaurants and shopping so we were able to walk. We got a...

Great location near Yonge and Bloor by many attractions. Nice clean area. The hotel staff was absolutely great and made our stay more enjoyable. Nice large room though I wish they had used some of that space for the bathroom which was really small.. All in all a great stay though.

The beds were so comfortable you don't want to get out out of bed. The staff were excellent and did anything to help. Huge rooms with a great view, starbucks and medical centre across the street. The price of the hotel is good value for money and a restaurant is next door, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Eaton...

We are here for three nights. The hotel is quite far downtown but it wasn't a problem for us. We used cabs and the hop on hop off bus to get around. Joey the receptionist was really helpful when our tour didn't show up. Hotel has free wifi and free breakfast. Very clean, bedrooms comfy and well equipped considering the...

The Comfort Hotel has basic rooms generally within the $170 to $230 price range depending upon how you book. The rooms are basic and clean. The public areas are adequate as well but everything could use a makeover. The neighborhood is not dangerous but I felt it was a bit sketchy - primarily because of all of the "Tobacco Shops"...

Hotel is close to the subway, Yonge street and Bloor. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping close by. The hotel itself is a little rough around the edges but decent for the price. Reception was helpful and friendly. Would recommend to others.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
