My husband and I spent one night here before taking ViaRail east to Halifax. The room was large, clean, and modern. The location was great for wandering around in the afternoon and walking to Union Station the next morning. Receptionist recommended G for Gelato - outstanding (see review).

Well located, in a walkable distance a good range of attractions. Rooms are simple, but very clean and comfortable. The free breakfast offered is not a huge buffet, but have all you need to start your day and a few more. Gentle staff

Chose this location for the price, complimentary breakfast, and location. Stayed for 1 night while attending the ACC for a concert. The bad: Staff wasn't polite during check-in, AC was on the blitz (only worked if you fiddled with it), housekeeper opened the door after we had checked in without knocking, placed on a lower floor facing the courtyard which...

My wife & I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were made very welcome at reception by Natasha who gave us a run-down of the hotel and made sure we had maps and activities planned for our stay. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, beds very comfortable and rooms quiet. We stayed on the 11th floor. Breakfast was basic...

Nice hotel, close to St Lawrence Market area which has loads of nice restaurants and bars, also only a short walk from other attractions. Room nice size, at the back of the hotel so no road noise on the 3rd floor. Comfy bed and nice bathroom. If you like to find your way round on foot this hotel is well...

We were travelling with my 90 year old mother and our dog. As such we required specific accommodations - lower floor, adjoining rooms etc. All our needs were met and our visit was seamless. The hotel is located in a great neighborhood close to a subway station and streetcars. The breakfast room was a little crowded each day, but the food was good and plentiful. The decor is a little dated, but the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
