The Hilton Toronto garners appreciation for its prime location, favored by guests eager to explore city attractions without the hassle of driving. While the hotel's recent renovations are commended for enhancing room quality and cleanliness, some visitors express dissatisfaction with the noise levels and room size, alongside occasional lapses in housekeeping.
Opinions on value are divided; a number of guests feel the amenities and services don't justify the cost, pointing to expensive extras and issues with room features. Meanwhile, the hotel's atmosphere strikes a balance between contemporary charm and elements in need of an update.

Hotel's Favourite
Styaed in room 2105 from Aug 29-Sep 2. The room was spacious, great view of the CN tower, the bed was comfortable and the staff was lovely. What I really liked was the first rate gym, the well stocked executive lounge (those cookies are so good!), and the overall cleanliness of the hotel. This is a true full service Hilton. They recognized my Diamond status and provided me an upgraded which was greatly appreciated. I wish all Hiltons could be this great. When I return to Toronto, this is where I'll stay.

stayed here Nov 5th , 2022 with my mother and children
Pluses
Great location for getting to a lot of places downtown like the Scotiabank Arena Aquarium Eaton Centre City Hall ROM etc
lots of great restaurants nearby to have a nice dinner out
front door staff was very helpful in getting us a taxi in a quick manner
beds were comfy
the indoor and outdoor pool was very enjoyable
negatives
check in for the room wasn't ready till 4 pm unless we wanted to pay an additional $40 for an earlier room but already dropping $424 plus tax for the room we said no and with a 5 pm formal wear function it didn't leave much time to get ready especially when one of the guests is an eldery disabled lady and as well two young kids . Our room was ready for us finally at 3:58 pm and with check out at 11:00 am we paid $424 plus tax for a room for 19 hours
also for $424 when we finally got to the room after the lengthy wait for the room to be ready when my wife went to use the shower there was long black hairs all around the drain
when I went to the fridge in the room to put items in for later to be cold the previous occupants plastic bag of Korean BBQ and soup was still in the fridge
at night the windows are not very sound proof so there was a combination of Old City Hall clock tower going off every 15 mins and the 2 am car horns on University ave
I understand that on a Saturday night in Downtown Toronto that the cost of a hotel room wouldn't be cheap and I also understand in the tourism industry places are trying to recoup COVID loses by putting significant increases on their prices but I expect that for $424 a night with the Hiltons reputation that I wouldn't be waiting till almost dinner for a room with a sign in the lobby stating that being clean and safe was their #1 priority that had a room with significant hair in the shower and the previous guests meals in the fridge . I expect that at a Comfort Inn but I don't pay $424 for a room there
Overall its a good hotel with nice rooms and a good location but next time I have a function in Toronto I will most likely look at any of the many other hotels down there in hopes of a better experience

As a Diamond Hilton Honors member who frequently stays at Hilton properties, the Hilton Toronto stands out for its exceptional gluten-free accommodations. The Executive Lounge offers clearly labeled gluten-free breakfast options and substantial evening reception dishes, making it an excellent choice for celiac and non-celiac guests alike. My wife, who doesn’t follow a gluten-free diet, also enjoyed the food, showing there’s truly something for everyone. For Diamond members, the Executive Lounge experience is particularly outstanding, though I’m not sure how it works for non-Diamond guests. If you have this status, I highly recommend staying here.
Beyond the dining experience, the hotel delivers consistently excellent service. I always email the chef ahead of my stay through the Hilton app, and once again, their team exceeded expectations. The rooms are comfortable, well-maintained, and the hotel is conveniently located just a block from Osgoode subway station, making it easy to explore Toronto. Whether you have dietary restrictions or not, the Hilton Toronto is a fantastic choice for its attentiveness and quality.

Been here many times over the years as diamond/gold and now as silver HH member. Rooms, lobby, main areas were recently renovated and look fab. This visit probs: we booked a two queen beds room, but beds were not standard NA queen but were more like double/full, there were only 2 glasses in room for 3 people, pool water was visibly dirty with many glasses poolside (poor bar area etiquette and housekeeping?). At check in, the front desk attendant asked me "do you really need two queen beds". I certainly did not feel like I got value worth $650/night. Won't be staying here again...

As a lifetime diamond VIP it saddens me to write this review having stayed here many times. This hotel is a total embarrassment to the Hilton Brand. The long lines at the elevator banks are an early indication that the stay will be a disaster. The entire lobby has been torn up and there is no one to talk to anywhere. The executive lounge is a total joke. The attitude of all the staff if you are lucky enough to find one to talk to is basically how would I know. The lounge has no water and no coffee cups and chairs that are so worn out you are almost sitting on the floor. The showers in the rooms have no water and the air conditioner is so old the noise is deafening. I actually almost pulled the refrigerator out from the wall to stop it vibrating the entire room. I remember in years back there were wonderful staff in the lounge that prided themselves on service and quality. Who ever owns this location has decimated the staff and tries to squeeze every penny out of guests. Long gone are even paper cups in the room let alone real glass in the room. And as a Diamond VIP I am treated special?? So sad how far this hotel has fallen. One of the worst Hiltons in the World!

This is not a rant or trying to find fault but Hilton brand seems to be simply slipping in terms of details and service . Over all ok experience but will consider another hotel when visiting Toronto. The one issue was the attentiveness of the person ( young guy at countwr) who wither needs training or needs to be more attentive. I asked about late checkout and he states it will be 50 bucks ( when the offer I added in app said $30 till 3pm). I said ok as long as it's till 3pm. He says no it's 25$ extra every hour after 2pm. I said ok than keep 2pm. Later the next day I get the cleaning lady stating I had checked out at 11 even though I told your customer service person I needed 2pm checkout. I could hear the front desk people talking about too when I found out they needed the room early. That and the glasses in room were clearly not cleaned. I requested through chat to be replaced, and no one came.

Great location and comfortable beds! However, it’s not the best Hilton hotel I’ve visited. There are no wine glasses in the room. I dialed guest service whom informed me that glasses could be delivered if I paid a fee, this service required contact with room service which didn’t open before 5pm (I called by 2 pm…). Easy-peasy, I solved the problem my self, went to IKEA City and bought glasses. However, I don’t understand, I didn’t ask for a renovation incl moving walls, I asked for two glasses…which should have been solved easily at a 4-star hotel.
Furthermore there are no amenities such us bathrobes, cotton pads, tops etc. Regardless if you tip off the cleaners or not, you’ll not get shower cream, shampoo etc refilled. Luckily we had brought some by our selfs.
Summary: Ok hotel but nothing more than mediocre.

We really enjoyed our 3-night stay in the Toronto Hilton. The location is just about perfect for access to anything downtown via public transportation, the PATH (a marvelous subterranean system), or by foot. The hotel offers just about as many amenities as we could imagine (and most we didn’t even use), a real feeling of elegance and spaciousness on the ground level, and truly friendly and helpful staff. We had a minor issue with our room right after check-in and it was taken care of immediately in a manner that exceeded our expectations. Our stay was in a room that was up to date, clean & comfortable, and easily met our needs. Next time we’re planning a visit to Toronto, we’ll consider this hotel first.

On April 24, 2024 I was so excited, my girls decided it was time to plan a night away. So, I go onto Hilton app and schedule myself for a night away in July 2024 and get the confirmation. Have a quick look the at the confirmation (time stamped 11:19 AM) and the reservation was for the same day (on no!!!!). I get on the 1-800 support and ask for help to fix. The women on the other end was awful - said that was my own mistake and problem. I pushed and she said she would call Toronto front desk to see if they could help. After being on a prolonged hold she let me know the hotel front was busy, and I had to call them myself. She offered to put a room hold on the date in July I wanted and kept reassuring me it would be a hold and no charge to my card. So I get a second confirmation at 11:54AM and look and guess what my card was charged so now I am paying for 2 nights and they ask me to talk to their Survey department that just hangs up on me. Not happy I contact Toronto Hilton Front Desk, the women was lovely, I explain what has happened and provide both confirmation numbers (wrong day, correct day). She said let's get this fixed and sends me another confirmation at 11:54 and I hang up happy. Well, I go to my emails and guess what I now have 3 confirmations, and all charged to my card. I try to wait a couple days to see if it clears and it doesn't. I try calling, get placed on hold no answer. I go thought my bank and they tell me I have to go through Hilton. I go on Hilton and cancel my 2 confirmations for the same night in July BUT the entire reason for this was the same day mistake booking I paid for cause no one ever helped me. So my note to you - do not go to the Hilton. They will not provide good service and only carry about getting as much from their customers. As they said - your own mistake deal with it.
I have all the confirmations sitting in my email if someone from Hilton actually wants to finally help me.

I don't usually review but had to given the change in experience. We came here last year during reno's and was way better. We were so excited about the restaurant as the food was amazing and had vegan options. Chef came to our table and we chatted for awhile. Restaurant is now a french restaurant and right out in the middle of the lobby. Zero vegan options. The hostess of the restaurant was very nice though. The restaurant attached is a steak restaurant so my vegan friend obviously cannot eat there either.
Lobby is beautiful though.
Elevators - we are not sure what was happening but was taking at least 10 minutes or more to get an elevator. Stairs to 18th floor not really an option. At one point we waited so long and were in wet bathing suits/towels shivering, the very nice security guard took us to service elevator and he took us to the 18th floor. Next morning we waited not too long and the small elevator that looks at city opened and three people and luggage already in there. We said its ok go ahead and the one man said you really want to wait another 1/2 hour? So we got in. Everyone was discussing the elevator situation.
Pool was so nicely heated so that was a real treat. The pool side bar was unfortunately not open for some reason which would have been nice. The pool is not aging well but was still very warm and a nice experience. Love outdoor pool please don't change that.
We are uncertain if we will come back as the conveniences we loved are no longer there. But we will see next concert.

Hi Crystal, thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that your recent experience didn’t match the enjoyable one you had last year, and we truly appreciate your honest comments. We regret that the restaurant changes, including the lack of vegan options, impacted your visit. We’ll share your feedback with our culinary team, as we aim to be inclusive of all dietary preferences. It's wonderful to hear that the hostess and security team provided friendly service, but we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the elevator delays. We understand how frustrating that must have been, especially after using the pool. Speaking of the pool, we're glad you enjoyed its warmth, and we’re committed to keeping our outdoor pool a welcoming feature. We're also looking into reopening the poolside bar next summer to enhance the experience further. Thank you again for your loyalty and feedback. We hope to improve the areas you’ve mentioned and look forward to the possibility of welcoming you back for your next concert stay.
