My wife, son & I wanted a change from a typical stay-at-home-on-the-long-weekend break and so we booked the Windsor Arms for one night last week. We figured that walking around downtown, doing some shopping and having a nice meal at our favourite downtown restaurant would be a nice change of pace. The hotel is small and charming and the room...

Please be cautious when you book on line. The hotel will take the full amount of the booking off your credit card and it is NON-REFUNDABLE. We didn't know that when we booked, and although it wasn't a problem for us we still wanted to warn people when booking on line. We also had gift cards bought for us on...

My husband and I had planned to stay at the hotel for 3 nights after we had heard such wonderful things about the hotel. The arrival was welcoming, lunch was good the room was great. However on our return to the hotel on the first night they had a very large party going on in the lobby which was loud...

I've been to several 5 star hotels in Toronto over the years and now I've found my favourite. Every room is a suite with a musical instrument. Has a great mini bar in the room and a bath with a separate shower. A classic decor thru out and the restaurant down stairs has a great bar. The area is full...

My husband and I snuck out to the Windsor Arms for a one night stay before the arrival of baby #2 and I cannot tell you how relaxed we felt! From the moment you step in till you leave you are looked after like royalty. A butler at your call, courteous staff who go beyond the call of duty to...

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights after our wedding in Toronto at the beginning of October. If you are looking for a hotel in the heart of Toronto (Yorkville) close to great shopping and places to dine, then look no further. This is a smaller, boutique hotel that offers supreme service. It would be a gross...

The hotel is extremely nice - perfect location in the nicest part of Toronto (to my mind), lovely spacious rooms, very nice room service, a bit unusual breakfast (half way between buffet and a la carte), friendly and helpful staff. In other words, everything you would expect from a hotel while travelling.

Started our trip here. Our deluxe suite was very well appointed with a really good bathroom. Nothing was too much trouble - although I have to agree with a review below that the complimentary breakfast is a bit 'odd' - whilst they never pushed any extras (which they perhaps ought to do) the simple offering could be improved. However our...

Just spent 3 vacation days here with my family. Location is perfect. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. Just a few weird aspects to elements of their service which should not happen in a hotel of this caliber. The breakfast service is best described as odd. Though lots of staff around trying to be helpful simple...

We spent one night here as a birthday getaway and loved everything about it, with the one exception of not being able to get the air conditioning cold enough. The hotel has beautiful old world charm and is very well maintained in all areas. The bathrooms are spacious and well appointed, and the beds are fitted with Frette sheets. I...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
