My teenage son and I stayed 4 nights at the hotel in late October. Our room was on the 17th floor, we heard little or no street noise. The room was sized just right. My one compliant, and I've voiced it to hotel management, were the threadbare towels in the bathroom. We enjoyed buffet breakfast, included in our room rate,...

Let me start off this rather long review by stating that I too have a business on Tripadvisor and I know how important good customer care skills are: My husband and I traveled to Toronto for a medical visit. Unfortunately, our vehicle broke down as we were leaving to return home (not Toronto) and we had to find a hotel....

Thanks for your feedback. I've already spoken to the front desk team and they are disappointed with your review... they truly believed they had assisted you "over and above", helped you find a pharmacy, etc... however after all these years I have learnt that perceptions can be very different, so i apologize that we did not match your expectations. However...

Novotel is a funny hotel. They cater to a European taste in the same way that Sofitel does. It's not that they're unpleasant as hotels go, it's just that the furnishings and the comfort level seems a little more austere for the price charged than their competitors. (Although $166 for downtown Toronto is arguably not bad but that may have...

Thanks for your feedback, a little descriptive, but very clear. Beds, so personal, I'm not sure what to say, a previous reviewer said how wonderful they had slept... however I take your point. I'd probably also agree with you if i had to listen to Madame Butterfly over and over, even though it is a "classic". Thanks again, cheers, Michael.

The comfort of a good sleep, free wifi, and great value for the breakfast buffet saves this hotel from a lower rating. Cons My Standard room had a creaky bed, peeling wallpaper, cracked ceiling paint, plus a rundown 1980s era shower that was difficult to adjust and drips for hours after use. The hallway and doors betray this building's real...

Thanks for the review, on the one hand pleased that you have stayed in other Accor brands, however disappointed you compared us with an Ibis Hotel. You are correct though, some of our rooms need a refurb and we have just started an extensive program, which I am confident you will like. On a positive note thank you for identifying...

I stayed three nights at the Novotel while in Toronto on business. The room was clean and quiet, despite being next to the elevator. There was a shopping centre off the lobby, a restaurant on site as well as a lounge. Our event made use of the lounge and a dinner was catered. Food was tasty and well served with...

Many thanks for your great feedback and I agree with you, our accessible rooms are not up to par, however great news we are starting to refurb 90 rooms, some of which will be OADA compliant. We are using a local company to help us ensure the rooms are suitable and appropriate. So please give me til January and then...

I've stayed here a number of times. Good, clean, basic rooms. Friendly staff, decent food. This time, though the free WiFi, advertised as "high speed lite" was more lite than high speed. It was very, very, very slow. I use this hotel for business travel so basic wifi is a must. Email and regular internet was painfully slow. I was...

Thanks for your honesty. Now I will be, WIFI drives me crazy. One day it is great, the next? What i can confirm is that we have now upgraded the bandwidth on our fibre lines , so speed should improve, I think our challenge is, like all hotels, our guests are now bringing 3 or 4 wireless devices and of...

I've stayed here a number of times. Nice quite, and well appointed European rooms. Clean, sleek, simple. Hotel staff are very professional. I believe their salt water pool is one of the few in Toronto. They also welcome pets in certain rooms. Small onsite restaurant. This hotel is 1 min walk to Younge street and underground path leads to toronto...

I was working in North York for a week so decided to stay nearby rather than commuting from downtown. Novotel was a great choice. It is connected to the subway which gets you downtown in 30 minutes if needed. The rooms are ok, but nothing special. Perfect if only used for sleeping. Room service breakfast was very good and arrived...

What can i say, except, thank you for your positive review. Glad to see you used the pool and sauna, and especially noted the cleanliness of the area, really critical to do so, and the team work hard to ensure the area is immaculate. Cheers, Michael.

I booked a room online directly with the hotel, not using a discount site. Upon check in the clerk couldn't find my reservation. I stood at the front desk for 40 minutes waiting.
