I have stayed at the Grand many times and just not gotten around to writing a review. Staff are awesome. Love Alex at the front door - like a spouse away from home. King bed rooms are not the standard rectangular hotel room. They have a separate sitting area, microwave and fridge. Nice to not always have to eat at...

It was such a lovely treat for us to stay here. We stayed for 3 nights in August 2016 and loved every minute. The boys (13 and 9) both loved the roof top area with the great views of the city and the hot tubs! The breakfast was awesome, as was the food in the restaurant in the evenings (we...

Staff in all departments are amazing! Very friendly, courteous and welcoming. I booked a room with a king sized bed, but my room had a queen sized bed. Mini, tabletop type ironing board had legs on it that didn't work so didn't give the extra clearance off of the top of the coffee table to make ironing easier. There was...

Perfect place to stay near downtown. Easy parking orvthry have a free shuttle to drop you somewhere downtown but you find your own way back. Loved the rooftop hot tubs with their incredible view. The indoor pool and sauna and hot tub were great too. Included breakfast buffet was great. Totally satisfied.

Business trip to Toronto on my own (female) so I wasn't too keen on the location of the hotel. 3 blocks from the busy streets, I wouldn't have liked to be walking home myself. Room okay but bit dated - needs some updating and a decent shower. Citrus bar/restaurant was a welcome place to be on my own in the...

Fantastic 4 day stay once again.. Exceptional food and excellent meeting facilities and banquet people. Had time to enjoy the pool downstairs and the hot tubs on the roof (still wish they would change the big-screen entertainment though). Have to single out the staff for making our stay once again. Special thanks to Terra, Kayla and James for all their...

I booked this hotel for a one night stay - found a flash sale of 55% off on Expedia - so I paid under $160 + tax instead of the listed +$300 plus tax. This hotel is rated a 4 star in Toronto and it definitely lives up to those standards. Location - The Grand is located just south of...

Me and my husband stayed at The Grand from 1st February to 5th February. The hotel is beautifully decorated and rooms are very spacious. The complimentary breakfast does not dissapoint and has a large selection of hot and cold food. While we were there my husband celebrated his birthday, he received a gift and a card from the hotel which...

Found this hotel on Expedia when looking for an affordable place to spend a night downtown Toronto. We were taking our kids to their first Toronto Rock game!. The price was right and looking online we saw the extras, breakfast included, pool and hot tub! Check in was quick and easy, valet parking was reasonable. The room was a little...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
