At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.

I'm a French student, and I lived here for 6 months, the staff are very good and smiling, they can call a taxi for you, cleaning is done once a week minimum and done very well. The room is comfortable, I had everything I needed to cook but it's old. Yes I had a Studio alone, the

My husband was in Toronto western hospital and this hotel was handy and reasonably priced. Place to leave my car and walk to hospital. Hotel is very old but perfect place to lay your head down after long days at the hospital

I stayed here one night while attending a meeting at University of Toronto. While my room was fairly clean and the staff was friendly, I'll not stay here again. I'd give this place 1/2 star. The walls were paper thin, the furniture old and cheap, the bed old not so

The room and bathroom were clean, but please be aware that the walls are paper thin, by paper thin, you can literally hear what people in the next room are talking about as if you were sitting with them. The most disturbing is being aware of their bowel movements. Also, you must

This place was pretty dirty. There was gum on the lampshade and the bathroom was dirty. We stayed because it was close to the hospital but we will not again. Even my 10 year old did not want to go back.

Rogers center is 1.8km from Alexandra Hotel. The parking fee is 9CAD per day, which is very minimum for the area. This time, I gave up the reservation at Alexandra Hotel, due to a March review of bed bugs. We found Residence Inn near CN Towers for 225CAD/night v Alexandra's 150CAD for a very large room with kitchenette. Unfortunately, the parking is valet only, and 50cad per day. Alexandra lot is not big, but we were about to find parking every night.
