The personnel at the reception is good, friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the furniture is in good shape. The biggest downfall with this hotel is that there is pretty much no lobby area you can sit with a few friends or colleagues and the "bar" area is even worse. A hotel with about 300 rooms provides seating...

Every time I stay here I am more amazed at the service and the way I am treated. The front desk staff Tamara and Carol Lynn make you feel like you are a family member and are always glad to see you and treat you so nice

While I have previously reviewed this hotel, I want to take the time to mention some hotel staff members who have been particularly kind to me and my family members. I believe that the property has changed ownership fairly recently, but the new ownership has, very wisely, other than some needed physical upgrades to the hotel, maintained things as they were....

This hotel is about as central as central gets: it's at Yonge & Bloor, the central intersection of Toronto. When you stay, be sure to drop in to Matisse - just off the lobby - for a meal or a drink. My experience is that all the staff are good but , for me, there are three stand-outs: always respectful,...

I checked into this hotel and it was clear that they were oversold. The person that checked us in had to call her supervisor just to find a room. We received a room on the first floor. We had to walk the entire perimeter of the hotel just to get to the room. It literally took 5 minutes to walk...

We just returned from a stay at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville. We were going to Toronto for a couple of days and I was using Marriott Rewards points. Based on reviews and the type of rooms available, I chose this hotel. I'm very happy with my choice. The room was extremely spacious, as our family of four had plenty...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights for a family event. We choosed as it was very central. You can walk from hotel straight to gallery of shops. Royal Ontario museum is in walking distance and there are a lot good restaurants around . Staff was very helpful and friendly. We asked about Niagra falls excursion and Michael, the...

I was at the Bloor Marriot Yorkville Hotel. I was there attending the OHTN conference from Nov 25-27 I have to say I had Excellent Customer Service from Carlo Nalli right from the start. He gave me a very nice room: it was a suite (Rm 448). The suite was very spacious. I walked in: to the left there was...

The hotel is pristine, the location is perfect, but what is most important to me is the stellar customer service. Tamara & Carlo went above & beyond to make my stay exceptional...as they always do. I am a longtime regular of Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel, I won't stay anywhere else!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
