This Hotel has a great location. The metro station (bloor and young ST) literally in the basement. The room was clean and had a nice size. The Only thing that's annoying is the NON free wifi.....still in 2014. Anyway... if your looking for a place to stay near the central areas and close to a metro, this a good choice.

I recently stayed here during my brief visit to Toronto as part of my whirlwind visit to Quebec and Ontario. The advantage of this hotel is that like most Marriotts, it's a clean, pleasant, tastefully decorated and quiet place to sleep. No unusual sounds or smells noted. There are two major disadvantages. First, it's a bit far from the main...

My daughter and I stayed here the last weekend of June. The staff, and in particular, Carlo, could not have been nicer or more helpful. Carlo went out of his way to ensure the room I requested was to my liking and even called up to the room after we had checked in to see if there was anything else...

I love this hotel for it's location! It's directly above the Bloor-Young interchange subway station. Also if you want to shop the best high end shopping in Toronto is at you doorstep. The hotel it's self is really nice too and staff was very friendly. We had taken an early flight in to city and the hotel was able to...

Got the room for a concert at Rogers Centre. Pros: good bed and bathroom, right at bloor & yonge subway, sitting area and club chairs. Cons: no view & pretty far north (if attending an event at a major venue).

Marriott Yorkville definitely lives up to its name of higher class and luxury hotel. The hotel was nice and a mid-rise (only 6 floors). It wasn't busy when we were there, but perhaps that had a lot to do with its location. If you're in Toronto for the first time, I wouldn't recommend the hotel, as it's far from everything...

We live in North Toronto and this is one of our favorite hotels in Toronto. The location is at the center of the city - Bloor and Yonge. We use the valet parking because it is so easy and very accessible from Bloor St. The front desk is very attentive and quick to get you registered. The rooms are moderate...

Rooms are a good size - beds comfortable. Very, very noisy. We were kept up much of the night with various noises - hammering, kids running up and down the halls, staff talking in the hallway. Service was also just ok - not much information given to me at check-in about anything. I would have loved to express my concerns...

We stayed there last week. The staff could not have been nicer. Every member of the staff from the valet to front desk to housekeeping was nicer than the next. The rooms are a great size. The value for the room and comfort is outstanding. It is in a great location right next to subway. I highly recommend this hotel!

I was very surprised this four-star hotel did not have a pool! We were also surprised that our room did not come with coffee cups for the coffee maker and Internet, of course, was an additional charge unless you went to the small, crowded lobby where you could get it for free. The room itself was very nice although quite...

Dear Paul: Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. Although we do not have a pool, we have made arrangements for our guests at neighbouring facilities. For your fitness regimen, we have a spacious health club and sauna. We are located in a great spot for business or pleasure - right above the subway. I do hope that...

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
