Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.

Perfect location; a few steps from Yonge-Dundas Square. The bathrooms and rooms were very clean and tidy. Friendly staff. Safe, as not anyone can go into the residence area. The only glaring problem I can think of is the lack of Wi-Fi.

A very decent stay that is in line with the price. The room is clean, decor is nothing special, old but does the job, private bathroom that is clean. Has an A/C. Easily accessible via public transport and in a good location for seeing the...More

It was unexpectedly great, the Staff are all very accommodating and nice. The 4 bedroom suite are very basic with a/c, clean facilities. There’s a big fridge, no microwave in the suite but there’s one in a common area across the elevator.

Great cheap room which is really basic - bed, storage and bathroom. Free breakfast was good - pancakes, hash browns, egg, yoghurt, juice e.t.c. Only downside was that WIFI is not available in rooms, only in the common rooms.

I'm sorry for the delay. I don't live in Toronto, just visit often. I don't have any suggestions other than try the student housing office at Ryerson.
