If you've stayed at Courtyard Marriotts before, this one will present a recognizable experience, though it's in a building that was not designed as a Courtyard, so it won't have the same footprint you're used to. That's not really a problem though; there are no big problems with this hotel. Rooms are spacious. Hotel staff helpful. The valet parking quick...

The hotel was literally around the corner from where I was working. The service was fast and friendly. The room was a good size. Liked the shampoo and conditioner, though would have been nice if there was cream/lotion also. Otherwise I would have brought my own.

We stayed at this hotel last night, great stay, clean and well located, a 10 minute walk to the Eaton Centre. Staff were extremely friendly and polite. The room was big and the bed very comfortable. Couldn't ask for anything more!

This hotel was ideally situated in the heart of downtown Toronto. It's within walking distance to the College Yonge subway stop at College Park, it's also within walking distance to the Eaton Centre. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms were clean and fairly quiet.

This hotel was a great location, right in the heart of everything on Yonge Street...which is THE place to be. It was within walking distance to a lot of places, and the Royal Ontario Museum, which was the reason for our trip. The hotel was clean. Staff was helpful. We did always have to ask for extra coffee though, which...

Rooms are updated and fairly large for downtown Toronto. Great location with subway stop within 100 yards. Booked a few rooms for a group of guys and the girl at the counter had the younger guys rooms at the back of the hotel. Perfect,

I had surgery the following morning in Toronto, and so I needed to find a hotel close to the hospital. This was one of the closest, and as you can see from my Trip Advisor, I favour Marriott Hotels. This hotel was centrally located and served a great purpose. The parking lot was large and well maintained, Even though the...

We stayed at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown in December 2016 for one night. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. There was a valet service for $35 for secured overnight parking which given Toronto parking prices we thought was reasonable. The rooms were incredible spacious, modern and clean. My only (minor) issue was that our view was onto a large...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
