I stayed here for three nights. We had no real winter down in NYC so I flew up here and I was no disappointed. Came in time for the blizzard. Outside my window the snow was coming down from early evening into the early morning on Saturday. I was out a lot so I did not spend much time in the room. A short walk from Eaton Centre off Dundas Street. One benefit of staying here short term is you really don't need to ride the trains. You can even walk to Union Station by making a right on Bay Street then keep going south. A guest told me there was thunder during the night. I did not hear anything but I did see it in the news about the loud thunder. Maybe I got a soundproof room? No noise was able to penetrate the room.

Hotel's Favourite
I spent two nights here in July. The hotel was very nice. I've stayed in all of the other Hilton brands in Toronto over the past four years, and the staff at this hotel was the best. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. Unlike the Hilton in Toronto, the DoubleTree still offers a wonderful breakfast for their Hilton Diamond members. The buffet was really good, and the staff was very friendly. I had dinner at their hotel restaurant on my first night, and it was very good as well. I liked the ability to self-park in their garage underneath the hotel as compared to the valet service at other Toronto hotels. It was nice being able to retrieve my vehicle as needed and not have to wait for the valet. Last but not least - their chocolate cookies are incredible!

Excellent downtown location close to shopping, sights, and vast array of dining options. Staff was friendly and helpful, even at 5:30am. Rooms are clean and tight, beds comfy, and bathrooms immaculately kept with excellent water pressure!

My wife and I were there with our granddaughter rom March 13-15. We upgraded our room to a suite. Everyone at the hotel was very nice. The only problem we had, which we thought was a big deal was that my wife tried to take a bath on the first night in the jacuzzi tub in the room and it was dirty. We reported it to the management and asked them to take care of it when they cleaned the room the next day. They never cleaned the room at all. Everyone apologized, but no one offered any compensation for our inconvenience. We were very disappointed in this part of the stay and would probably not stay at this hotel again

Staying in a business type hotel during the week with an active 5-year-old might seem like a recipe for disaster. But the staff of the hotel is absolutely a kindest and friendliest crew you could ask for. From the friendly lobby staff to the restaurant wait staff - everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool was great. The location is minutes from the Eaton Center and the Subway. You don’t need a car. We upgraded to a suite and the set up was great. Again, I cannot say enough wonderful things about every staff member!

Nice room with fridge and microwave. A bit dated furniture but clean and well looked after. The heating system was a bit loud but the noise level in the hotel was more than reasonable. The location of the hotel is excellent giving you easy walking distance to the downtown core. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good and we will definitely use this hotel again. There are definitely nicer hotels but price point this hotel is very good.

This Hotel has great location. We arrived by train and it was a $10 ride to hotel, and $12 ride to the Aquarium. We could also walk to the Theatre from this location both ways. If you want request a higher floor for more sites. Has a market in Location. Great front desk staff and restaurant bar staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome both at night for Dinner and drinks as well as at breakfast time. You can order off the menu or they have breakfast buffet. We will stay again on our next visit to Toronto.

This hotel was all right. It was extremely busy a lot of people at the party, especially on the weekends due to it being downtown so you will deal with exceptional noises and people fighting in the foyer with guest services because of being kicked out. There was no coffee maker or microwave in our room, which I thought was very strange for paying a $300 for the night. We woke up with bites on us we did not have previous. I told the front desk and they kept belittling me telling me no that's not from them. I'm not sure what it was that bite is. I'll attach the photos of them. We were given a choice of 2 free breakfast and the other 2 would have to pay. We did eat and half to pay 60$ for two people to pay as it's 29.99 for the buffet. The buffet is impeccable, though well worth the price. I find this hotel was overpriced and over rated for something this much. You could find better.

1. Received a notification my room was ready from the Hilton Honors app. So I Uber over to find out they just want to charge for early checkin. Don’t waste your time they are eager to try to charge for everything and are not friendly and staff were coughing, not sure why they don’t follow Hiltons policies 2. Room was not clean, stains on surfaces, mirrors, tub etc. they said they would send someone, never saw any resolution 3. Returned after meetings and ready for bed, well the sheets look funny. Turns out the fitter sheet is turned inside out. It was late and so tried to start changing myself and there by the mattress is a thick layer of dust. So much dust that this room could not have been deep cleaned in years. 4. Loud humming and siren sounds all night, avoid avoid avoid if you have any trouble sleeping. So many problems, limited to no resolution by staff onsite, solutions like I can change the sheets myself. What service. Oh and a final kicker. They charged me at check in, $50 but later changed it to $78.50 for some reason. I did not consent to that and didn’t sign anything. I did not authorize further charges. Basically avoid, do not book. The messages of response to people’s complaints on here are ridiculous as I am on property still and could not get any resolution so if you can’t fix things while on property you certainly can’t fix with a message following. Overall 0 stars, everything terrible and I am sure there will be more horribleness. The government needs to do something about hotels taking advantage like this to charge us like this and not even providing the basics of a clean room or properly made bed with fresh linens and towels. There are a lot of better hotels in this category in Toronto in this price bracket, that are similar in price but an overall better experience staff wise and from quality. Hopefully Hilton removes there name from this property as it is the worst one in their books. Showcasing lovely stains on the bedding and check out the dust. The whole room was not properly cleaned but as you can see the bed was inside out.

Where do I begin... When we arrived to our room we had no power, no lights, noting worked. We went down to reception about the issue and then maintenance said that it was our fault (saying we tripped the power by plugging something in) event though we hadn't even put our bag in the room. There were long strands of dark hair on the shower wall and around the sink and long strands of hair in one of the beds (both of us are blonde). We asked if this could be cleaned and it took asking 4 times for it to be cleaned. We asked reception to ask another guest to keep the noise down as they were screaming and shouting down the hallway at 1am in the morning and they did noting (this happened 3 nights in a row). When checking out I got assaulted by an intoxicated man in the lobby and both reception and security did noting to assist while dealing with this situation. Our say totalled $2500 and shortly after arriving home I was charged an additional $2300. I then had to fight with the hotel and Hilton themselves to get this issue sorted. I was spoken down to like I was a child by many of the people I spoke to. It got to the point where I said I would be contacting the local government authority that they then refunded me the extra funds and stopped all communication with me. Would never stay here or another Hilton branded hotel again.
