I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff and service were excellent. My room was comfortable and wonderfully appointed. I was here for over a week during NBA All-Star Weekend in February. The location right next door to the Air Canada Centre was very convenient. Plus, there is a small mall attached with a large grocery store...

Lovely hotel with friendly staff, upscale décor and great location. We walked with ease to CN Tower, AGO, Royal Alexandra and harbor. Concierge helped us get tickets to Kinky Boots and recommended wonderful Italian restaurant across the street, Taverna Mercatto. Starbucks on the lower level so convenient!

It was my first experience at Le Germain Maple Leaf and won't be my last one. On a very cold day the location was much better than the original Germain. The connection to the underpath allowed me to go to my business meetings and my dinner without a coat and walking in the rain. The staff was very friendly, great...

Love this hotel. Amazing location. Great staff. Perfect place to stay in the city. The restaurant next door e11even is amazing. The front desk staff had a map of the city marked with things to do with my 8yr old son on arrival. The lower level had a full grocery store for connivence. Adjacent to the main train station. Walking...

I stayed here for three nights in November. It's in a great spot outside the front doors to the AC center a bustling place. It has easy access to everything downtown through the underground with stores within the same building for any food or wine to take up to your room. I took the new train from the airport to...

The Hotel Le Germain is centrally located, within two blocks of the Air Canada Center, Union Station, the Convention Center, and the Rogers Center. The rooms are modern, very attractive, and comfortable. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The free continental breakfast included more than I expected, including an expresso/- cappuchino maker. There was no restaurant or gift...

The Germain in Toronto is a modern and very comfortable hotel. Rooms are very spacious, with great choice of materials. the bathroom is integrated in the room, with a full see through option, pretty cool. The bed is wide and more than comfortable! Location is perfect for downtown Toronto. There are a lot of little, clever details and attention. The...

What a fabulous hotel in a great location. Next door to the Air Canada Centre and a short walk to the Rogers Centre. The hotel is close to excellent restaurants as well as shopping. A modern hotel with lovely amenities and great staff. The bed and pillows were so comfortable - loved it! We enjoyed the deluxe continental breakfast in...

I only stayed one night and this was proved a good choice for being in the financial district. Everything is very modern and quite stylish but does lack in character. Its very functional, a bit like staying in a business class airport lounge - not somewhere to kick back and chill out. Breakfast was included and very good.

Best hotel ever! Great location, especially if you are attending an event at the ACC. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bathroom was exquisite! The staff was wonderful. Plus, the continental breakfast had plenty of choices so everyone could find something that they liked. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely stay here again.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
