The St. Regis certainly lived up to its reputation as Toronto’s Best Address. Its downtown central location meant the best of the city was just steps away via sidewalk or underground PATH. Its public spaces reflected the brand’s elegance and was complemented by a staff that embodied outstanding hospitality. And while known for having the Toronto’s largest private spaces, our room exceeded expectations with its tall ceilings, expansive windows, and stunning views. The cozy fireplace, heated floors, and beautiful décor created an serene retreat, while the comfortable bed, motorized blackout curtains, and tranquility ensured a restful night’s sleep. And of course, The St. Regis Butler beverage service ensured a perfect start to our morning. We regretted not having planned a longer stay but have already started planning our return to explore this gem's many other amenities and rituals.

The St. Regis welcomed us to Toronto, a destination for those who enjoy modernity and living well. Very well located and with an elegant facade, The St. Regis Toronto is the right destination for a memorable stay, where guests are surprised by the attention to every detail. Friendly and efficient check-in, and a more than comfortable Suite, where you can feel at home from the beginning to the end of your stay. Our butler Nicholas made a point of introducing himself personally as soon as we arrived at the Suite. He knocked on the door gently, with a smile on his face and took a tour with us, in order to highlight all the luxury and modern features of the accommodation. Then, a treat arrives at the Suite: macarons accompanied by a beautiful message sent by the hotel staff especially for us. The affection is evident, as is the care that The St. Regis brand takes with each guest who chooses The St. Regis hotels as their home in different destinations around the world. At the hotel restaurant, which is open to the public and a hotspot in Toronto, we were very well received and served during dinner. The highlight is the drinks and drinks menu, which is extensive and for all tastes. The dishes are contemporary and with a signature rich flavor. Kudos to the Chef, who prepared the Mushroom Risotto to perfection, being the best Mushroom Risotto I have ever eaten during my many gastronomic experiences around the world. Whether it's dinner with a fantastic atmosphere or à la carte breakfast with impeccable service, The St. Regis Toronto is unique in every way. Experiencing luxury authentically, being absolutely certain that we are in Toronto and nowhere else in the world, is another of the strengths of the hotel's great know-how. Here's a tip: daily, at 6PM, the hotel offers the Sabrage show in the Lounge, where all guests are invited to be enchanted by the sensational The St. Regis ritual, making a toast to the unique moment and wishing for other beautiful and special experiences around the world.

The hotel is generally very good with many luxury touches as would be expected of a hotel of this type.
Rooms
The rooms are large and well appointed. The beds are very comfortable with ultra luxury bed sheets. The bathrooms are large and have everything you need. You will struggle to find a better room in Toronto!
The Spa
I have little more to say than everything about the spa was excellent. From the start to finish, not even one suggestion as to how to make it better!
The Service
The staff were generally very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. We used the in room butler service a couple of times and they acted quickly to get us what we needed.
The Gym and Pool
For a hotel, the gym is really well appointed and the pool is huge for a city centre location.
The Issues
We had two issues while staying at the hotel which were as follows:
1) I ordered room service which took over an hour to come. This is after them specifically mention on the phone when I ordered it that it would be 35 minutes. The server apologised when he brought it and was nothing but professional, however in a hotel of this type I don’t think over an hour is a reasonable wait time.
2) On our second to last day, despite having the please make up the room button on, no one came. I had a courtesy call from guest services that evening and when I mentioned it they sent someone straight away. However, again, if you’re paying this kind of money for a hotel they should have systems in place to ensure all the rooms are made up.
Food
The hotel has two restaurants. The breakfast is ordered off a menu, rather than a buffet which suits me but I appreciate others are different. The quality of food was good and the pricing was reasonable for a hotel. They don’t serve proper food outside of normal eating hours though, I.e. not between around 2-6 in the afternoon.
Conclusion
To conclude, the hotel was generally excellent with one of the best spas I have been to. I would definitely return if I was visiting Toronto again.

I needed a place to stay for a night due to work that was taking place in my residence. I had an 85K free night certificate that I needed to use and because of the lenient pet policy I was able to bring my cat. Hence I decided to book here.
I think this hotel has potential, but there were a few things that made things feel underwhelming compared to a few previous stays - including a fairly recent one at The Whitley in Atlanta, and one a year ago at the Gritti Palace. I'll admit my expectations were high because this is a 5 star hotel and I have Marriott Platinum, and I would not apply the same level of scrutiny to a Courtyard or Fairfield.
The first thing that bothered me is that it appears my pre-arrival notes were completely skipped over. I had made requests, they were acknowledged, and none were honoured - at least initially. For example, I had asked for a garbage bag so that I could easily dispose of the disposable litter box I had brought for my cat but this never materialized. I did, however, get upgraded to a deluxe suite due to my Platinum status - but only after asking. I assume this was because, for some reason, I could only book a 2 bedded room initially with my certificate, and I was auto-assigned accordingly because they don't have suites with 2 beds. I do think they could have done a much better job with respect to a personalized stay. The service was fine otherwise. Nothing remarkable, but not bad either - perhaps up to a Sheraton or Westin standard, but not quite St. Regis.
The room (2501) itself was nice, if sterile looking. I really did like that there were 1.5 baths because I was able to have the half bath for my cat's exclusive use. There were no issues with cleanliness, but there seemed to be an issue with some of the lights in the room, whereby they would flicker from time to time. I also wish there was a proper refrigerator.
I did find a design flaw with respect to the bedroom - my cat was able to get into a small (and somewhat difficult to access) space behind the bed. This required me to move the (heavy) mattress forward, and then extract her from the small crawlspace of sorts that was full of electrical stuff. I was eventually able to prevent her from getting in by blocking the "passageway" between the bed and the dresser with towels. It would be great if staff could warn guests with cats and small dogs about this.
The pool area was very nice, and I liked that the pool and hot tub were at the perfect temperature. Didn't use the gym. However, I found that several things in the men's change room were not well-maintained, including locker locks that were partially broken, and shower temperature controls that were also somewhat broken, making it difficult to control the temperature.
Louix Louis was probably the highlight of the stay. As my stay included breakfast for myself plus one, I invited a friend over for breakfast, and we both enjoyed it very much. We had absolutely no complaints about the service or food. The bruleed banana on top of my pancakes was absolutely delicious.
Generally, I don't need to stay in Toronto, but if I did have to again, I'd probably look for other options - pet friendly or not depending on what I need.

It was my partner and I’s second time visiting the St. Regis, this time for two nights to celebrate our 3 year anniversary. Needless to say, we expected a seamless experience but received far from it. Prior to checking in, we reaching out to inquire regarding a potential complementary upgrade to celebrate the occasion, we were told that this could be accommodated depending upon availability when checking in. Understandably, and the hotel did win points by offering celebratory strawberries with a customized note. Upon checkin, we inquired once again regarding the potential upgrade, and was told that there were rooms available however a premium would have to be paid, which was contradicting the previous statement the hotel provided regarding availability. We decided to stick with our originally revered room, but was told the room was not ready yet and to come back once they call us. This was at 1pm, and we did not received any form of call/ text until 8pm that same day, completely unacceptable. Once we entered our room, there was a hand written card acknowledging my partner and I assuming us as “Mr & Mrs” with the exact same last name. I understand that we booked for our anniversary however it is NOT OK to be making these assumptions in 2024. On top this misappropriation, we encountered problems with our toilet where the tank plug would not shut, causing noises that would require us to HAND FIX after each flush. After night one, we left for the entire day only to come back to our room at 9pm that wasn’t turned down. Asides from all this, there were other small issues throughout the stay, such as the card scanner in one of the elevators not working. Needless to say that these occurrences should not be happening at this calibre of a hotel. After voicing these complaints to the front desk upon checkout, the manager issued a small credit which hardly makes any difference to our stay. Definitely will reconsider future decisions when debating whether or not to stay at the St Regis again.

Room: my husband booked a corner suite, beautiful room, nice city view with partial sea view, nothing to complain about.
Food: good selection of breakfast, as bonvoy titanium members, you get a 60 CAD credit per day, which is enough if you want a continental style breakfast, however, it’ll barely cover any decent breakfast items on the menu. For what it is, I would say they charge a premium.
Service: at breakfast, we find some servers were not quite well trained, missing cutleries, missing orders (green juice in our instance), and delivered wrong orders. One server in particular was behaving a bit interesting, he would attend to me and engage in small conversations, however, he would be rather dismissive to my husband. This hotel location for some reason has no designated butler assigned to you like other properties, also, the tea / coffee service is limited to 7:30-9:30am every morning, if you don’t order it during that time, you will miss out for the day, which again differs from other locations. I only found out about this when I called reception and asked, so if I didn’t call, I would’ve missed out on it everyday for the 7 days that I stayed. During the same conversation, I asked how much a pot of camomile tea is if I just want to order it before bed time (how I usually like it and how I have it at other St Regis), she said she will check and get back to me, never did. On another occasion, my husband requested for some ice via the bonvoy app, the team acknowledged it right away, half an hour later, still no ice, we called to follow up, and they showed up 6.5 minutes later. On the day before check out, the butler team finally called of their own accord, to check on us and see what they can provide, and then they offered us tea service, one day prior to us checking out, rather than on the day of arrival.
Pro: we had consistently good service from valet. Gentlemen there were courteous, always had a smile on, greeted us in and out, and helped us with our bags.
Overall, it’s a good property with good location, good infrastructure, and good valet service. However, the aforementioned areas were lackluster, and would definitely require improvement. I’ve stayed at 3 other St Regis at other locations, and sadly this location is currently sitting at the bottom of our list.

From check in to check out everything was perfect!! Upon check in we were immediately upgraded to a one bedroom suite and not I am not a frequent visitor. The service was ***** in every department. Housekeeping and turn down service impeccable and timely. The front desk and concierge were helpful in all aspects. We met Steven, ass’t food and beverage manager who was friendly and full of great information about local doings and Toronto, in general. On check out, the city was hosting their marathon which made it difficult for us to get to the train station with our luggage. George, one of the door persons personally escorted us with our luggage to the train station and deposited us to the exact location where we needed to be at the station. Without him, we would have been walking in circles about the station. Overall, staying at the St. Regis made our four day getaway super special.

Everything about this hotel screams luxury and top class. I travel to Toronto approx 1-2/month and have gotten to know the staff quite well.
Everyone starting with Mark at Front Desk to the Breakfast/Bar Staff Lia, Carlos and Paul, these people make my stay incredibly comfortable just like my 2nd home when I’m travelling for work. Paul has definitely become my breakfast pal; I specifically request to be sat in his section. He knows top-tier service inside and out.
The rooms, whether it’s a suite or room are very comfortable, private, and quiet. Every detail is personalized from the greeting to service.
I’ve held multiple events (cocktails, happy hours, lunches) up at Louix Louis and the staff are super accommodating, attentive, and take excellent care of your needs.
The location is close to everything from Bay Street, Milos, National Club, everything you need downtown.
There’s never an issue when I stay at the STR and if there is, it’s handled properly so I can focus on my business.
I truly look forward to staying here every time knowing I’ll get a good night’s rest. Thank you to everyone and see you soon.

5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way. The service, the food & high tea are all great. I will definitely come back here again. The room is spacious, high tech & bathroom are heated marble floors( there’s a TV in a washroom if you want to catch the weather or news for when you get ready in the morning, we used the TV for that). The breakfast was superb & they also didn’t charge us for the breakfast of our little one, which is a plus. We have service butler 24 hours, clothes for ironing is free & restaurant of the hotel was well decorated & the food was really good. I will stay here again for sure. We love it here, we don’t even want to leave, we exhaust our stay up to the last second ( we checked out 4pm) I’m a Bonvoy platinum elite member, so I can actually do that ( it’s a privilege for platinum elite & up). We will stay here again.

The service was quite good. For instance, the hotel had a rollaway bed and crib ready in our room before we arrived, just as we had requested. In addition, a diaper bin for the baby was provided, which was a nice touch we had not specifically requested. The valet, the concierge and other staff were friendly and helpful. Whatever we asked for they provided promptly. Room service requested for 9:15 was there at 9:15 on the dot. If we asked for our car (through the app) it was there just when we wanted.
That said, our room (a 1 bedroom suite), was nothing to write home about. Supposedly we were upgraded to a nicer suite on a higher floor due to my Gold Elite status, but the room's decor was sparse and bland and it seemed a little on the small side for what we were paying. The tv in the bathroom was an oddity. The view from the 27th floor was just of the sides of other nearby skyscrapers, certainly not worth paying extra for and way worse than my old office view when I used to work in downtown Toronto. (to be fair, with so much construction going up in the financial district, I suspect nice views are becoming increasingly scarce no matter how high you are)
The rest of the hotel was nice, but again not wowing. The lobby was nondescript. We did enjoy the 31st floor pool, but it was disappointing that there was really no view despite the high level (I was expecting a panorama view of the City from the water, but you can't really see anything out the windows). The restaurant did look quite beautiful, although we did not actually eat there. The food from room service was overpriced for what it was.
The bottom line with this hotel is that it's a nice well-run hotel worthy of its 5 star rating, especially with respect of service, but there is little or no pizaz and for the price, you can probably find something a little more opulent. Don't expect much of a view, no matter what floor you stay on. I might return in the future as I like getting the Bonvoy points, but otherwise nothing I would go out of my way to return to.

Thank you for the question. We do not have any shuttle services available. However, we do offer taxi and limo pick up. Alternatively, we recommend taking UP Express from the airport to union station and vice versa ($9 for adults each way).
Let us know if there is anything else that we can further assist you with.
