Pimblett's is a fun and eccentric B&B conveniently located to major Toronto venues. The B&B is an eclectic mix of British antiques and memorabilia. Geoffrey, John and Bertie (a docile and lovable Doberman) were terrific hosts, providing referrals and directions to restaurants, shops, and other sight seeing spots, etc. Breakfast was tasty and available for those who choose not to...

A large rambling house with a charming eccentric English innkeeper. HUGE breakfasts. Location close to downtown - 15 minutes walk from Yonge street. It is a bed and breakfast and not a 5 star hotel, so do not expect to be waited on hand and foot. The house was full of antiquities which made the place even more interesting. I...

I don't even know where to begin?!?! The photos of the B&B are charming, the owner sounds like a pleasant British gentleman on the phone and the location appears to be convenient. However, the place is a run down, smelly, hole in the wall surround by what appears to be drug dealers and prostitutes. The place was so packed with...

Kitschy, funky, fun. Wonderful owner and very central to the public transportation. Very gay friendly, as well.

It is unfortunate I have just gotten the time to sit down and review my stay at Pimblett's Bed and Breakfast in Toronto. We stayed there in late May and had a great time! We stayed in The Bewdley Suite and I can't imagine a cooler experience. We had the whole third floor to ourselves, including a jacuzzi tub and...

Pimblett's is very conveniently located, within walking distance of downtown attractions. Inconspicuous townhouse from outside, but a gem inside. Geoffrey, the friendly host, put together authentic replica of 19th century British townhouse. A guest can see, touch and experience things which are otherwise available only in museums. I choose this B&B for 1 month business trip to Toronto for exactly...

I booked here because of great reviews but was disappointed. The positives were location in a great area (cabbagetown), roughly equidistant from downtown, yorkville and the market, and a friendly host. But the room was very small. There was no room service even to empty wastebaskets during our 4-night stay. The place is rather run down although the bathroom had...

We picked this B&B based on the great reviews and high ratings, but till we arrived and left we were still confused how this place got such good ratings. Geoffrey is a nice older English escentric was very welcoming, we liked bricker brack (to a point) but from a business point of view he should concentrate on clearing his kitchen,...

My husband and I spent a couple of days in Toronto on our way to a family reunion. I found Pimblett's on the internet and thought it looked interesting. Well, I was right. It was a unique and interesting B&B. We enjoyed it very much. We spent some time in the cabbagetown area and did the walking tour which was...

Conveniently located, rooms are unique and comfy with the old home feel. Its got some good outdoor seating. Daily english breakfast is made better with a dish of fresh fruits and juice. Overall a great experience. The only drawback I found was Iam used to having housekeeping making my room and having fresh linen. I dont like doing this on...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.

“We stayed in the third floor room with the jacuzzi and it was a beautiful and amazing room. We loved the private balcony. The second night we stayed in the butler room because 2 of the stairs at the top of the third floor were difficult for my fiance. The Butler room was great too and we were impressed with how accomodating Geoffrey was.”
