We spent three nights at this place in downtown Toronto. Got a fully equipped flat, with all the facilities like one's own home, including a laundry and state-of-the-art kitchen. Wi-Fi internet and cable TV added value to the package. It's within walking distance of the main attractions in the downtown vicinity and even a walk until the waterfront is definitely...

Upon arrival, the security guard was reasonably friendly and gave me my welcome package. The building is neat and the lobby has a sitting area for you and your guests to chat. The apartment was clean and there were items in the apartment to use. (Hand soap, dish-washing detergent and some bounce for the dryer). The apartment is older and...

Glen Grove Conservatory Tower is where you want to stay IF: 1. Location matters. Nothing beats the location. In fact, the location is about the only thing this place has going for it. 2. You don't mind being moved from one suite to another because the cleanliness of your first suite is absolutely abhorrent; dried skin scabs along the headboard,...

Stayed here to be close to Toronto Rehab. Location is excellent . Building entrance is hard to see. It's a multi unit high rise. We stayed in unit 1105 . Compared to the management company Canada Suites, Canada Suites was better( unit 8005) . Regardless, there was a lots of room, wifi was great( seems to be for the whole...

We rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. I will admit that the floors were a bit messed up, old tile that was starting to separate. And the decor is outdated. That being said, this place is PERFECT for a city visit. The location is phenomenal. You can walk just about anywhere - and the train station is right down...

We visited in October for a birthday trip. We read the reviews and fully understood this was not a hotel. We received instructions after our booking regarding this. We were a bit confused when we entered the building but the security guard was rather helpful . The room was absolutely fine as we spent most of our trip out and...

Great location, rooms need a bit of updating and cleaning. Good price. Love the kitchen and separate bedrooms, great layout. No tv in the bedrooms either. Internet was good. A paint job and good cleaning is all that is needed.

Definitely a good place to stay for budget-minded traveler. One bedroom apartment with cot, kitchen stove fridge microwave, living room with tv, washer/dryer. Quiet, comfortable and most definitely convenient. Grocery across the street, underground mall a few blocks away, plenty of places to eat. Walkable from Union Station (we do walk a lot for exercise, disclaimer). Very happy with our...

The Glen Grove is comfortable, economical and conveniently located. With a kitchen, dinette, living room and separate bedroom it has everything you need for an extended stay. The rooms seem a bit dated and of cheap quality but overall a wholly adequate experience.

I found this a good place to stay. Yes, furtniture is tired. Feel's a bit like you're staying at your grandmother's place but it gives it a homey vibe and you are in a resident's tower. A proper small apartment with seperate bedrooom, living room, bathroom, and kitchen. You collect the keys from security and drop them back. It's easy,...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
