Trivago?.....forget about it! Why stay in a hotel.....Algonquin House is an experience. Come to Toronto and for just a weekend, feel like a resident of the city. You don't just get a terrific breakfast, with a real comfy bed and solice....but you actually feel like you live in the city. Steps away from Roncellvallas and the hustle and bustle of...

Leora, the owner was so helpful with everything, and made me feel like it was my own home. I would definitely go again next time I visit Toronto. I highly recommend this BB. Breakfasts were divine and something new every day. Bedroom was super clean. Central and quiet location.

A hidden gem. From the moment Leora opened the door we felt welcomed into her beautiful home. We were only in Toronto for one night, but the bed was extremely comfortable and the cheese souffle and muffins were delicious. If there is ever a need to stay overnight in Toronto again we will have no hesitation in staying at Algonquin...

We stayed four days at Algonquin House. The breakfasts are unbeatable and the accommodation is comfortable and spacious in an elegant house. The little unexpected extras were typical of Leora's thoughtful approach. Now our first choice for B&B in Toronto.

We have stayed at the Algonquin House several times because we thoroughly enjoy all aspects of this B & B. Either room to be chosen is clean, spacious and comfortable. A television has been added to both rooms for those who wish to watch it. The provided breakfast is always home made and delicious. Our hostess is always very gracious...

I am sorry you missed the a/c. However there is an a/c in the other room (the Library Room) so perhaps you will choose it if you come again. Thank you for the review. Leora

I feel absolutely at home when i stay at Algonquin House! The neighbourhood is quiet, tree-lined and yet also filled with delightful sounds. It is convenient to shops and restaurants too! Leora welcomes you with open arms and is there whenever you need her! The garden is a refuge and a relaxing seating arrangement beckons! Her breakfast is stellar...you literally...

This was my second time staying here and Leora's standards have not dropped one bit. This time I stayed in the "Library" room which has an adjoining sun room. It was extremely comfortable and pleasant. The room was bright, full of art and books, had a computer (which I didn't use), and an a window air conditioner as well a...

This B&B is a treasure! Easy to drive to from the airport, lovely tree-lined, well-kept neighbourhood, great for walks in the park, restaurants and public transport to downtown. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. Leora is a fab hostess, very helpful and her breakfasts are simply amazing. Would definitely stay here again.

Algonquin House is our regular place to stay when in Toronto. We enjoy the Roncessvalles neighbourhood and love this place. A beautiful old home, immaculate, 2 beautiful bedrooms, wonderful food, and a most gracious hostess. Extra touches abound, from being met with tea or wine and fresh home baking, to the water bottles provided. Parking in just around the corner...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
The go-to area for new business start-ups, the spry and creative persona of the West End thrives along its streets. Its independent boutiques, galleries, restaurants, and shops offer brands that can't be found elsewhere. Buildings with ground floor consumer spaces sport up-top artist's lofts, and the West End attracts artists, designers, and fashion industry professionals to its living quarters. It is in the cross-hairs of gentrification, but still resisting it with ironic relish. Hot deals can still be found here on furniture and knick-knacks,. Its call to culinary glory is in its well-priced homemade Polish food, hosting Toronto's go-to spots for hot pierogis and cold borscht. High Park, the largest green space in the city, is a place for dreamers and poets to wander and rest, not to mention a number of energetic actors staging outdoor plays in the summertime.
