Not easy to get to with the one way streets. Location is what I consider a "shady" area. Never felt safe at this hotel. 3 parking spots at front side of building and 3 parking spots right in front of the building but hotel staff would not let me park there. Single woman - had to park very far away...

Had to attend Sick Kids, Uber had us to hospital in under 7 min. We booked last minute. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and complimentary breakfast was decent. ... but ... no on site parking (had to either purchase parking pass from city of Toronto or use public parking, which is a 5 min walk from hotel), electrical...

First of all, if you are looking for the Hilton, stay at the Hilton. This is definitely not it. The Knight's Inn is an older property in the old City of Toronto that is currently undergoing renovations. The new owners of eight months are truly trying to bring this place up to par. However, it still is a budget property...

We only needed a place to lay our heads for a few hours but wow...i cannot believe a hotel of this poor calibre exists. It was smelly, dirty and BASIC. There was mould in the shaower stall which had been painted over and the tiles were DIRTY. There were loose floor trim stuffed in one side and a portable heater...

We reserved 3 rooms the issues with the room were extensive none of the TV’s work, no blinds on window for ground floor units, no clocks in any rooms, the phone in one room was just a shell with no inner workings, one entry door was soooo crooked you could put your figure straight into the room, the door to...

This hotel certainly isn't 5 star but it's an amazing price and even if it is a little on the beat-up side, it was comfortable and very clean (they used all white bedding and it was pristine). Bed very comfortable. Walls in need of new paint and lamp switch was broken but we could see they are already working on...

We booked a room for a few days over online. Unfortunately online makes things look so much better then they are. And there is no information about the near by area, which is a shame as the surrounding area is really bad. It looks like Junky town!! Just around the corner on the other street is an emergency shelter! and...

When I checked in, I had great trepidation...the carpet is pretty shabby & the desk clerk is pretty unfriendly. The room was actually not terrible: good shower newer bathroom. The location is adjacent to areas of interest.

Just about everything in this hotel can be improved but we stayed four days without a functioning TV, with very long walks, sans elevator, along strange corridors. Room was clean on arrival but no housekeeping in four days except one change of towels and a roll of toilet paper. Yet we stayed because the staff was friendly and it reminded...

I had traveled to many places, This is the worst place that I had ever been to. The room is not secured, the lock is broken, the place is dirty, garbage on the floor, the air conditioner is the oldest style, the room smells bad, and super small, the wall is cracked. They charged me the price for a 4...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
