My boyfriend and I stayed here to save some money for his birthday and our 2 year anniversary and we will never stay there ever again. It all started with leaving my custom hand made dress my mom and I made at the hotel. We checked out Sunday morning, I noticed my dress was missing Monday night and immediately called...

First impression was not good as there is an large paved area outside the front door that was covered in cigarette butts. Next morning noted 3 employees of the hotel smoking outside and just throwing butts on the ground. Once inside the hotel things did improve to some degree. The hotel was clean with easy check in. The hotel appears...

The outside of this hotel is very misleading. When we arrived, the attendant working was nice and helpful. Then we walked down and up some very unusual halls and staircases. The building appears to have been some kind or dorm or hospital at some point. The most minimum of alterations have been done to call this a hotel. The hall...

Hotel is located in a very run down area of the city. No parking available except for an unguarded lot 2 blocks away. Hotel lobby very small and hallways very narrow. Two people could not pass in hallway. We decided not to stay and desk clerk was very hesitant about giving a refund. As a Wyndham employee, I was embarrassed.

This hotel was terrible all the way around, the pictures on their website does not match the real thing. The room was small there was no king size bed, our room had not been cleaned of vacuumed in a while there was spider webs on the lamp shades and in the corners. There was no coffee in the room, continental...

Pros: The room was clean and renovated. The air condition was great and the washrooms were clean. Cons: It is in a rough neighbourhood. I did not feel very safe when I was walking on the street at night.

Great experience! Front desk staff was absolutely friendly, fast and efficient. Rooms are small but all the necessities are there. Definitely will go again next time I am in the downtown area. Does not look sketchy. Good area to be in! You can hear people walk in the halls. If you wake up with the little noise I do not...

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The location isn't great nor bad, approximately 20 minutes walk from the attractions like CN Tower. The rooms are...strange. We have been in an underground level and we felt like in a bunker from WW2 as there were no windows. However, this bunker was slightly better as it had a small shower...

We expected a basic hotel given the price, but it was much worse. We stayed in the basement and it was quite scaring, they need to renovate everything... walls, paint, windows...The staff is ok and it's not far from the centre but the area was a bit weird and scaring. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!!!

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
