The staff was friendly but I couldn't get over the strange splattered stains all the around the place. No bugs, thank god. It was a decent sleep. If you can see past your surroundings and actually fall asleep it's OK. It's in a sketchy area but great for a quick stopover. No parking unfortunately.

After arriving late at Toronto coming from the UP from Pierson, i booked firstly a room in another hotel next doors. This hotel did not accept cash payments so i needed to look for another hotel. Since this one was called ‘Econo in my way referring to ‘economy’ this was not really the case for the 180 CAD i payed...

Contrary to some of the previous reviews I have just read my room was clean, insect free and an adequate size for my needs. I never saw any homeless people nearby or cracked up prostitutes so obviously somebody got something done and did it right. It is situated two blocks from Yonge street where there are ample restaurants, shops and...

Staff was great but first room had hairs all over the bed. They quickly switched me to a new room that was nicer but the surfaces were dirty and drawers had bits of weed and what looked to be cocaine in them. I didnt expect luxury when booking but cmon, clean the illegal drugs and surfaces up. One of the...

Bought the deal on Expedia.. Not realizing what part of Toronto this was in. BIG MISTAKE! Didn't even get out of my car to check in.. drove right on by. The windows are all barred up on the bottom, there were 5 homeless individuals bunked out front and at least 4 prostitutes that we seen all cracked out.. omg. Disgusting...

Do not recommend. Infested with bedbugs and the staff did absolutely nothing about it. Had horrible bites all over. No doubt that there were bedbugs. Manager was extremely rude when we brought it up to him and called us liars. Do not recommend this hotel at all. The management is corrupt and rude.

Jacob at Front desk should simply not be in the customer service industry. Arrived and Jacob advised us that we were in a smoking room. We did not book smoking and would never have. He offered no apology or consolation, basically he said take it or leave. I had booked two beds and Jacob said I didn't. Said he didn't...

This hotel was absolutely fantastic and the staff were all so helpful and friendly. There is a 24 hour Rabba Store close by and its within walking distance to The Eaton Centre in Dundas sq. Rooms seemed to be newly furnished and very clean and modern. Housekeeping staff are meticulous and changed the beds daily. This hotel is also in...

Staff where bery helpful and polite. The rooms where always clean and tidy with a comfy bed! The maids where lovely too. They only have a few tv channels though due to 'rogers' being there provider. People who moan about this stay there is a holiday inn and a hilton a few yards down the road , put yer hand...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
