The Towne and Country motel is a family owned and operated business that for the price has the best value. With free WIFI, outdoor pool, licensed restaurant on the premise and rooms with all amenities it is hard to find a more comfortable place to stay for the price. The motel is located within walking distance of Devonshire mall and is only a few minutes from downtown, the Canada/USA border, Ceasers' Windsor and everything else Windsor has to offer.

When we checked into for a weekend. Very dissapointed. The outside - old. Nothing like the pictures on website. Upon entering the room - the smell - old and musty. I had to go and get some air fresheners. The carpet was dirty and torn in certain spots. The bath room - terrible. They supplied these tiny soaps - lucky I brought my own. The sink didn't have a stopper and the sink itself had these big rusted spots. The shower floor - dirty. Tiles on floor were broken and cracked in various spots. The bed - oh my God! The bed - very low to the floor. Flat pillows. When we pulled back the covers the box spring had this huge hole. The desk - no chair and desk dirty. The two chairs that were in the room - dirty and holes in them. The microwave door - hanging off its hinges. Luckily the mini frig worked. My husband suggested we leave but I was so tired after a 10 hour drive. The only positive thing I could comment on is the customer service. The people were very nice and "tried" to be accomodating.

I booked this motel since it was cheap and I was leaving from the Windsor Airport the next morning. I pulled into the hotel, and it is not as nice on the outside as the pictures suggest. The front desk is ok. The areas around the hotel looked poorly kept up. The room was not impressive. It was smaller, dingy, poorly lit, and had very few amenities. I realized that there was no shampoo there. I finally just went to sleep since I only was going to be there for a few hours. Ask for the internet code, because they don't let you know there is one.

We stayed for one week and it was the most terrible week of my life! Upon arrival into the room I found a condom wrapper on the floor and the mattress was caved in the middle. Hair all over the floors and when I called to switch rooms they said I had to do it in the first five minutes of getting into the room! The staff is very nosy and they do not clean the pool daily! I also called for fresh towels and they gave me a hard time about that! They do not know what hygiene is and I'm surprised they are in business! Please do not stay there !!! Very dirty place !!

I stayed at Towne & Country Motel in Windsor one night on July 16, 2011. My trip to Windsor was just to check this city out because I want to relocate there from Burlington. I booked this motel via Hotels.com - I simply picked the cheapest one available, so I was not expecting much at all. But boy, oh boy, was I surprised!!! This motel offers so so much for the $55 I paid to stay for one night!! The room was fairly big, with extremely comfortable bed, it was very clean, there was a microwave in the room which was extremely important for me and there was a hairdryer in the bathroom. There were many different nightlamps, a TV and an alarm clock. There also is a swimming pool which is fabulous!!! The water is so clean in the pool that it was simply pleasure just to look at it!!! The lady managing the hotel - her name Shandra - is very nice and friendly. There also is a restaurant on the hotel grounds - I did not eat there but heard from others that the food is affordable and good. Also, I recommend a little private ice cream shop down the street from the hotel. The ice cream is quite inexpensive and oh, Boy!!! it is so so so good!!! I made a video of my stay at this motel and uploaded it here. Please watch it to see the inside of my room and the pool!

The location is great. It is right on the main street and walking distance to a major mall and a lot of restaurants. 5 mins cab ride to the casino, downtown area and the waterfront. 10 mins ride to the bridge and tunnel to Detroit city. Room needed aesthetic improvements but it was clean. All amenities were available as any other hotel room. This is more then enough for the price I was charged.

AVOID THIS MOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE. Opened our mini fridge to find a half eaten slice of pizza on a plate among other things left behind by the last guest who stayed there. Room was not dusted, vacuumed or aired out for probably weeks. The second hand furniture with gaps between the drawers so large I could fit my foot through them was a surprise. Cobwebs were in every corner of the room and the smell in the room was beyond bad. Within 10 minutes we were checked in and checked out. Honestly, I would expect poor conditions from a motel but I wasn't expecting NOTHING to be cleaned at all. Don't cheap out on a good nights sleep, spend the extra $10-15 for a hotel room and stay somewhere that won't give you nightmares or possibly bed bugs. This place should be condemned.

Ok so we pull up and it looks ok. An outdoor pool. Whatever. Your average motel. But then it begins. The woman at the front desk was unpleasant and rude. Talking down to my wife and I the entire time. The entire grounds looks like it was abandoned for a decade. The rooms are the oldest, dirtiest rooms we have ever encountered and we stay in cheap motels alot. Needless to say, we stayed one night and got out of there. There is a much nicer place that is only $10 more 2 blocks away.

Excellent wifi, restaurant on premises, clean, quiet, numerous fast food and other restaurants nearby plus a shopping center less than a mile away. Was recommended by Windsor Tourist folk as an economical place to stay and their recommendation was a good one.
